Peter Lynn Twister IV (2017) Power / Traction Kite >>
Want to get into some great manoeuvres on your landboard? The Peter Lynn Twister 4 (2017) is a great kite for you if you want to get into some cool jumps and transitions while having an easy going kite.
The brand new edition of the Peter Lynn Twister has been completely redesigned to push its performance to new and unprecedented levels. The new design features a higher Aspect Ratio than it’s predecessors making it more challenging to fly and it's innovative construction results in improved handling, quicker turning and higher flying speed. These improvements add to the Twister’s jumping potential while at the same time keeping it accessible to fly!
The Peter Twister 4 (IV) is also a very easy kite to use for jumping as the kite has been designed to lift in a large segment of the upper wind window. The kite does not need to be flown at a specific position in the wind window to generate lift, as you steer the kite the kite starts to lift very smoothly, making it easy for you to get some decent air! This gives you good control in your jumps to perform rotations or other tricks. Especially when landboarding, freestyle buggying, snowkiting or just power kiting. You can get some serious airtime with the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (2017)!
Whether you are on sand, snow, on a board or in a buggy, the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (2016) is a great kite for people who want a kite with some good lift yet easy flying behaviour.
The Peter Lynn Twister 4 has good solid power through the wind window and has a stable and predictable behaviour.
Constant Power: The Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) has a solid pull throughout the complete wind window, making it more fun for the less experienced buggier or landboarder looking for some lift in a kite. After steering the kite down, it will accelerate slightly but not too much, making the kite easy to fly.
Solid Power: Keeping you in full control at all times the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) delivers heaps of power for some serious airtime, either on handles or control bar, allowing you to push your own limits to the max. The Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) really comes alive in the upper levels of its wind range when the full potential of this great kite can be experienced.
Because of it's medium aspect-ratio,
the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV)'s flying speed is remarkably
fast while still having a stable and predicatable flying behaviour.
The kite does not suddenly accelerate which is great for people
wanting to improve their buggying, landboarding or snowkiting
The lift combined with the predictable flying behaviour enables you to get your jumps sorted quickly and advance into some cool freestyle action!
Stability: The Peter Lynn Twister 4 is a very stable kite making it easy to get used to the kite's flying behaviour. When the kite flies over your head or past the edge of the wind window, the Peter Lynn Twister 4 does not collapse, but instead will drift back into the wind window. This predictable behaviour means you’ll be more confident and capable of dealing with the challenging conditions associated with gusty inland flying. Leaving you more time to enjoy the ride.
Once you've got the feel with it, you can start to do some crazy tricks with your landboard, buggy, ski's or snowboard.
Reinforcements: Reinforced leading and trailing edges, along with the use of heavy duty material on the ribs, makes sure the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) is strong and robust enough to withstand hard ground impacts! Double sewn bottom skin and back-tacked bridle tabs ensure extra durability and strength, making certain the kite is reinforced where it's needed.
Profile & Aspect Ratio: The D-ribbed centre section of the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) increases the smooth, clean shape of the canopy to optimise speed and eliminate distorting without the use of extra bridles. Each size of the Peter Lynn Twister 3 has been specifically designed to keep the same flying feeling and characteristics throughout the entire range.
Velcro Loops & Dirt / Sand Outlets: The Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) Velcro loops makes sure you can easily pack away your kite without the chance of bridles getting tangled. The Velcro outlets at either end of the kite also ensure you can remove any sand or dirt from inside the kite with ease.
All this makes the Peter Lynn Twister 4 (IV) the ultimate all-round performance kite. Each size comes in striking colour combinations with graphics on the top and bottom skin.

Great Intermediate Lifting Kite! George
Awesome Power Delivery! Iain Anderson
After doing a lot of researching I decided to go for the Peter Lynn Twister as a lot of the reviews I had read and people I spoke to who owned one said that it was a super stable kite and ideal for learning and progressing with - how right could they were!
I have had the kite for almost a year now and can confirm that after the initial few sessions the handling of the kite became familiar and this allowed me to concentrate more on my landboarding skills than constantly staring at the sky. It has awesome power delivery and once you have the basics mastered the 5.6m size - will allow you to keep on learning and developing in the sport.
The speed you can get up on a landboard is astonishing and the lift generated by this kite is phenomenal, that said be careful and show some common sense. When I was learning I took it out in circa. 12-15mph winds but there was gusts of up to 27mph showing on the wind meter which I (stupidly) chose to ignore. This lead to me being lifted, unexpectedly, at least 30ft off the deck which for me was a huge wake up call.
Provided you learn at a steady pace and don't kid yourself about your capabilities you will have a fantastic time with this or any of the other 4 line ram air foils available.
One other thing, if you are uncertain about anything give the lads at Powerkiteshop a call, you can get the number off this web-site. They will either know off-hand the answer or be able to find out and give you a call back, very helpful!
Really Good All-Round Larger Foil! Neil Ovington
This is an excellent kite for anybody wanting some extra lift on landboards.
Flies best for me (12st.) in 10-15mph wind range. Can be flown in lower winds but must be constant not gusty. Lifts effortlessly, with smooth landing.
Manouverability, not the fastest, but thats to be expected with this size. Gives tremendous pull for anybody wanting speed.
A really good all round, larger foil. Superb quality and very stable, but be warned the 7.7m generates some serious power.
