Teijin is the world’s leading supplier of polyester fabrics
and sail materials to marine sports. The combined creative power
of North Kiteboarding saw the formulation of TRINITY TX. Exclusive
to North Kiteboarding, TRINITY TX is a 3x2 canopy material, which
has proven to be far superior to other canopy materials in terms
of durability and dynamic performance.
The 3x2 yarn combination has proven to be the best solution in
performance as well as durability, overall superior to any 2x2
or 4x4 yarn solutions. TRINITY TX. Made to stand the test of time.
Every single seam is stitched with a zigzag sewing
technique. They are first glued then stitched. The result is a
clean, good-looking and highly durable stitch, which supports
the overall stability of the kite.
Edge Force Control:
The Trailing Edge Force Control is responsible
for the smooth power distribution between the different materials
of the kite, forcing the tensions in the right directions. Since
2013 the waves are higher and wider to eliminate stress points
between the Dacron Trailing Edge and the D2 Canopy material. This
change in construction reduces fluttering marks and ensures that
the material is not wearing out.
For 2018 all kites are equipped with the completely redesigned
Airport Valve II. The Airport Valve’s II unique construction
has several advantages, but first and foremost it saves time rigging
and gives you more time on the water. The valve works with any
conventional pump or compressor as it can be connected directly
to the bayonet insert of the hose.
The Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around
the tip of the kite. Waterstarts are made easier and safety is
This construction allows for a controlled distribution
of forces between strut and leading edge. Struts are 100% connected
to the leading edge with a flexible Dyneema line, which promotes
higher canopy tension and a clean profile.
All areas exposed to scuffing strengthened with STPU reinforcements,
renowned for its durability against abrasion.
Both design and engineer visionaries are blended
with premium technology and the latest production techniques,
ensuring that North brand remains one step ahead of the rest.
Their mission is simple, yet the foundation of
everything we do at North Kiteboarding. Pushing the boundaries
of progression and design innovation, we remain committed to unifying
premium technology with the latest production techniques, skilled
workmanship and fair labour
All critical seams are done with computer supported sewing machines.
This avoids human mistakes and inconsistencies, increases the
productivity and reduces waste from cut off materials; it is the
only way to create a perfect and consistent result every time.
Enlarged tubes from 28mm to 64mm to maximize air flow. Integrated
in all kites from 2018 for a rapid inflate and deflate allowing
you to be on the water first.
As kite geometry improves, the canopy must continue to resist
increasing forces. To spread these forces, Load-Distribution-Panels
are used, holding the kite’s shape even under the most extreme
loads. In practice this gives a smoother and more consistent performance
from the kite in any riding situation.
The self-rescue handles on the inside of the wingtips can be easily
found in case of an offshore break down. They provide a good,
comfortable grip while sailing back to the shore during a self-rescue
Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam:
The leading edges of all kites are extremely durable due to a special
heavy duty closing seam. The Dacron material at the leading edge
is reinforced with a self sticky Insignia Tape and double stitched
additionally. The Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam is resistant
to very high tensions and diagonal forces.
Computerized cutting ensures millimetre precise working pieces,
a minimum of waste and a maximum of efficiency of the cutting
process itself. This way the high expectations of our two kite
designers can be met to their full satisfaction.
These pigtails distribute the load of the line connections to the
kite, minimizing the risk of fatigue, making the kite less prone
to distortion and helps it to steer more smoothly.
A detailed quality control system has been developed, controlling
every step starting with the delivery of raw materials to the factory
and ending with the final delivery of kites to our customers. In
between, every single stage is optimized to the smallest detail.
The quality check card is the key to keeping precise control over
the process for every individual kite at every stage.
The kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing
that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when
rigging your kite.
The Juice is the perfect light wind kitem
for freeriding. Available in two sizes, 15 and 17m, it’s
a great kite for riders looking for a light wind cruiser with
playful characteristics and handling who want to be the first
on the water.
The Juice is dynamic and exciting; riders
can enjoy smooth fast turns, plenty of low-end power and excellent
float through the air too. The kite is also incredibly easy
to relaunch, something that is important in light winds.
These characteristics have been achieved by
using a light wind construction method that keeps the kite
in the air in the smallest of breezes.
Using just three struts also reduces the weight
but ensures the canopy is stable when the wind increases,
giving the kite a good wind range. If you want to be the first
person on the water, you need the Juice in your life!
The Juice has amazing upwind performance,
even in hardly any wind. Unlike some large kites, which have
a racing focus in mind, the Juice was designed for freeriding.
During the design process the Juice was tested using Twintips,
enabling them to ensure the kite offers the optimum performance
for light wind freeride action. You will be amazed with the
huge jumps on the Juice too, the kite glides and offers plenty
of hangtime and it is a great kite for airstyle tricks.
Built around a three-strut platform, North
have created a light wind kite that is fast, efficient and
exiting to fly. It’s the perfect antidote to those summer
days when the wind doesn’t quite deliver. Don’t
be left standing on the beach, get out there and improve your
skills with the new, totally refreshing Juice!
Big airstyle kites have a great wind range
and jumping but tend to be slow turning. The Juice delivers
all of this, but in absolutely light wind conditions! The
Juice combines the best out of many worlds: handling like
a proper small 3 strut kite, upwind and light wind performance
like a race kite.
The result is an everyday fun kite for the
light wind days you´ve always been waiting for this
some more knots to pick up. Now you´ve got the alternative!
If you lack some juice – the Juice is the right choice!

increased performance due to wider wind range
The 5th Element will come already
set up so there are no hassles on your first day
and it doesn’t take any more effort to wind
up or unwind them, and you don’t feel anything
else but better performance when flying them.
All kites can be flown with the
same bar, just the short line attached in the middle
of the leading edge has to be adjusted to the different
kite sizes. Instructions will be attached to all
bars or upgrades.
Different styles of riding, different kite models or the kite size can
be influencing factors that require different line length.
In order to further increase this
synergy effect the 19 and 22 m lines come now on
a medium bar (49 / 42 cm) and the 24, 27 and 30
m lines on a large bar (53 / 46 cm).
The bar is the riders’ first
point of contact with the kite. In order to achieve
a maximum in comfort of riding it is essential
to match the kite and the riders’ style of
riding to the correct line length.
Handling / 30% Power)
Super fast and reactive tuning speeds, shorter lines are best for extreme
freestyle and crazy kiteloops. They are also excellent for wave riding,
where kite turning speed is important. Wakestyle riders like the close
connection to the kite too. The disadvantage is you lose some of the
low end power.

The bar is your first point of contact
with the kite, Iit is the connection between you
and your kite and it is important to get it right.
And it’s actually an easy formula: The shorter
the lines, the more direct and faster the kite
turns. The longer the lines, the more power you
can generate out of them! Choose a North Trust
Bar, and choose the right line set up for your
style of riding.
5th Element line set permits anyone, from novice
to pro, to easily and conveniently use a kite leash.
The leash can be short and inconspicuous, or it can
be a long handle-pass leash like the pros use. In
either case, releasing the chickenloop quick-release
while leashed-in causes the kite to depower immediately
and totally and with no line tangles.
Whether you ride unhooked, spin, try
a water relaunch for the first time or practice a
handle pass, all maneuvers, including the latest
tricks, can now be performed with the safety leash
of the 5th Element.
As soon as you pull the Quick Release
or let go of the bar it slips up the safety line.
The kite is then completely depowered and comes down
without twisting the lines.
One additional benefit of the 5th Element is that it makes dragging upwind
to reach a lost board much easier.
the kite is on the water after you crashed or let
go of the bar, the 5th Element system allows you
to relaunch without swimming
tension on the middle line, reload the chickeloop
if necessary, and hook in if you want. b) To
get started again, use the middle line to pull
the bar toward you. c) If
you pull the back lines simultaneously, the
kite will slowly come off the water. d) The
harder you pull on the side of the bar, the
faster and lower the kite will start in. e) If
you only pull gently, the kite will move as
usual to the edge of the wind window for relaunch. f) No
unsafe pulls or drags. No more swimming!
5th Element stabilizes the kite’s arc and
thus clearly increases performance. Enhanced profile
stiffness brings considerable advantages in depowered
situations and increases the kite’s wind
range. As a result, the kite flies closer to the
wind window and responds more directly to steering
While arc-shaped inflatable kites
have a marvellous simplicity, they also have a
tendency to change shape as the wind increases
and decreases and as load goes from front lines
to back lines or vice versa. While it's possible
to control such unstable tendencies in conventional
four-line kites, such control comes at a cost:
The 5th Element line set offers
a low-drag solution to maintaining kite shape stability,
thereby permitting higher performance in every
5th Element-equipped kites have greater
high end, greater range, and quicker turning.
Because of the better high end they
also have better lift, which makes for higher jumps.
Because low end power is in no way reduced by the
5th Element line set, such kites also have excellent
