Flysurfer Cronix Kiteboarding Promo:
With the Cronix, Flysurfer are once again breaking new ground. The Adaptive Airfoil System generates a considerable increase in low end power. The trailing edge bridle creates more lift through the curvature of the kite profile when powering up, simultaneously helping relaunch, whether by reverse start or by pulling a steering line. The effectiveness of the trailing edge bridle can be adjusted within seconds on the kite, just like the bar forces – so that every rider has the right kite to match his/her preferences.
Over the last ten years, Flysurfer made a name for itself as an innovator for the bridled ram-air kite system (foilkite) and has become a force to be reckoned with – especially in the niche mrkets. The addition of a leading edge inflatable kite to their product portfolio is probably a surprise to some, but the thought process behind it is rather simple: Flysurfer want to push boundaries and evolve the best out of all systems! It has been almost two years since Flysurfer made the decision to develop kites open to any system and newly position their brand. Now Flysurfer present to you the first result of this decision - The Flysurfer Cronix.
Allround Performance – Easy Handling:
Fast kiteloops, breathtaking freestyle tricks, hard cut-backs off the lip, sporty flight feeling and an enormous wind range. It is crystal clear: The adjustment features of the Cronix have enabled Flysurfer to create a true allrounder, however it is not just a trusty companion for every kind of kitesurfing. The Cronix is a pleasantly smooth and uncomplicated kite to fly, with a lot of on-demand potential. Relaunching is easy for novices even in the lightest winds, cruisers will immediately feel at home with the Cronix and wake- & freestylers have the ultimate drug at their disposal with the Cronix. Last but not least – although the kite can hold its own in the waves with purebred wave kites, this does not mean that jumps have to take a back seat – the Cronix is a true allrounder.
Profile adjustment – exactly when you want it – this is the idea behind the Adaptive Airfoil System. Every sailor trims their sail with increased bow in lighter winds and flatter for stronger winds. Airplane wings adjust their flaps. Previously, leading edge inflatable kites were limited to one profile only. The Cronix makes it possible for the first time to adjust the profile of the kite during flight. This is possible through a minimalistic trailing edge bridle which has large effect. Especially noticeable on the excellent low end of the Cronix. A knot system on the kite quickly adjusts the amount of effect the trailing edge bridle has on the kite. But that is not the only advantage: Increased control of the trailing edge also helps enormously with relaunch, whether in light winds or by reverse launch.
You want different characteristics from a kite, according to your own riding style. The wakestyler, for instance, wants more bar force and less hangtime. Freeriders want just the opposite. Both can be adjusted quickly and easily on the kite, since along with the already mentioned “camber”, or profile adjustment of the trailing edge, there is also a simple bar force adjustment option.
Flysurfer had to make pumping even easier for those already spoiled by their ram-air foil kites. So they have developed a new valve – with a larger opening for increased air intake and easier operation – and it even works in the coldest of temperatures. As well as their new Single-Inflation-System there is an additional standard valve, which can be used with a compressor, for example. To complete the system Flysurfer have developed a R.E.D Pump (Reduced Effort Device), which differs significantly from normal kite pumps. It is not only smoother and more durable, under high pressure it switches from double hub to single hub, so that even riders with less strength can achieve the required pressure in the front tube effortlessly.
With the Self Launcher, we are offering you a tool to help launch the Cronix alone, absolutely stress-free. Position the kite at the edge of the wind window, connect and place the sandbag on the ground. Then tension the kite lines and the Self Launcher will release automatically at the right moment, launching the kite.

When choosing the Kite size always use common sense and always choose a smaller size if you are not sure, especially when using the kite on land.
Depower Control Bar
Infinity 2.0 Control Bar:
Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Control Bar: The Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Bar has a complete spinning system on it which includes the 5th line is included also.
Big rotations or kite looping the kite no longer gives tangles to the lines, just pull the bar in towards you and untwist all the lines, a simple and completely effective system.
The 5th line gives a great safety and total kill system to the kite. If you become over powered and pull the safety or you miss the bar trying for a handle pass, the kite falls instantly from the sky. The bar also features an anti-jam Ironheart chicken loop which has been tested with sand and dirt from around the globe and still releases every time.
The chicken loop is very easy to reset, even in high winds by back stalling the kite or by dropping the kite onto the 5th line.
2.0 Quick Release Loop:
A bar is only as good as its quick release. Together with the Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Control Bar, Flysurfer introduce their new Infinity 2.0 Quick Release. At first glance you can only imagine how brilliant this component really is. First of all, it fulfills the French safety norms to perfection, which only very few kiting quick releases do. The force needed to release the QR is minimal in relation to the load. Even with 400 kilograms of load, the release force remains under ten dekanewtons (similar to kilograms). The Quick Release design is optimized to be resistant against snow, sand, dirt and small rocks, as much as possible. But that is still not all. Flysurfer focused on the smallest of details. There is no metal parts at the end of the loop that can become tangled behind the harness hook. The system is intuitive and can be reset easily and quickly. In addition, Flysurfer made sure that you can release dependably, even when wearing thick gloves. Disruptive or dangerous accidental releases are practically eliminated. A heavy component? Hardly. The Infinity 2.0 Quick Release loop weighs only 157 grams and offers the most compact construction of all chicken loops with a comparable range of functions.
Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Chickenstick:
On the Infinity 2.0 Control Bar, Flysurfer have replaced the Chickendick with another of their innovations: the Chickenstick.
While most Chickendicks get stiff in low temperatures and barely work, the Chickenstick is stiff from the start and can be attached to the harness hook quickly and easily with the help of an elastic connection.
Broken Chickendicks or accidental releasing is basically eliminated with this Chickendick.
Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Double V-Shaped Eyelet:
Only a few bars can completely untwist, A special construction allows the Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 QR to swivel even more smoothly than ever, without being susceptible to rusting or blocking when exposed to sand, dirt, ice or salt.
The new Double V shaped Eyelet leads the depower lines vertically through the bar. This improves comfort and handling when holding the bar for one-handed flying and unhooked tricks. Flysurfer thought of more, too. The depowerloop ‘locks’ when unhooking and doesn’t dangle around. For real wake-style purists, you also have the option to make the depowerloop bigger. And so that no wish remains unfulfilled, each Infinity 2.0 Control Bar has the option to use a “Releasable Suicide HP-Mode”.
Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Adjustable Stopperball:
This is Flysurfer's first bar with a quickly adjustable stopperball, which we recommend, above all, for advanced riders and constant winds. This is a luxury that Flysurfer no longer want to go without. If you are surprised by a gust, you can still push the stopper up, together with the bar. You can also adjust the bar width on the winders at any time. Finally Flysurfer have also slightly revised the trimmer making it more precise and more user-friendly. The control bar remains clean and clearly laid out, despite a multitude of functions.
The Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Control Bar comes complete with the following:
