The Nobile 666 range represents the highest level of performance kiteboard from Nobile. These boards are designed to be pushed to their limits by riders of all levels from intermediate to pro. Fast planning, incredible upwind performance, maximum grip and extreme POP are all characteristics of this range are apparent in all water conditions from absolute glass through to vicious chop.

For 2007, Nobile have introduced a Hydrodynamic Rocker Line and a new three-step deck mould. The Hydrodynamic rocker gives the board an unparalleled drag free feeling performing in light winds and strong with the only limit to your speed and moves being you. The new rocker line has also allowed us to reduce the amount of spray caused by the board andincrease it's ease of use allowing you to access it's potential effortlessly.

 

Still present is Nobile's innovative tip rocker profilers designed to further eliminate spray from your eyes in choppy riding conditions. 2007 sees the expansion of the 666 line to incorporate a new size of 135x44.

Who is the board designed for:
Without the benefits of the Hydrodynamic rocker this size board would be relegated to light wind use only but now for the first time it's possible to have a wide board that has plenty of control in high winds and more POP than you'll know what to do with. Nobile suggest you try at least one size bigger than you would normally ride as the benefits of a larger board are well balanced with the outstanding control the 2007 666 range displays.

Integrated Footbed System: For 2007 Nobile introduce the Integrated Footbed System increasing both comfort and functionality for the rider.

Simply select your stance and screw them in, no other assembly is necessary even the screws come ready in the pad. Gone is the difficult and consuming task of trying to compress the pad to fit the screws as is the risk of crossing threads and ruining the board before you even get to ride it!

Building the pad and strap together into one unit has allowed Nobile to completely eliminate twist at the fixation point; a major source of discomfort when riding.

Conventional straps are higned on one side for adjustment. The geometry of the strap fits the average size foot well but the bigger and smaller feet are left to suffer. Adjusting the size to it's extreme forces the form fitted sections into the wrong position in relation to your foot.

 

The vertical adjustment in our new system ensures that the strap fits into the correct position no matter what the size and shape of your foot without having to resort to using a screw driver.

Features

3-D Top Mould: The 666 top mould has been completely re-designed for 2007. Last years principles of extreme flexi in thefin area for huge control and a stiffer tail centre section for more POP has been developed and combined with the progressive flex steps first seen on Shinn and EXT models. The end result is even more control when powered up and extreme amounts of POP. The 2007 666 really does offer a one board for an all conditions solution.

Rocker: Nobile's revolutionary Hydrodynamic rocker line is featured on the 666 and 666 EXT boards in 2007. The benefits of this rocker line in early planing, maximum speed, upwind ability, control and POP can be easily experienced and will be most appreciated by the rider looking for the maximum freestyle performance available from a twin tip today.

Performance Optimised Flex Pattern: The flex pattern of the 666 has been tuned to give the ultimate in performance. Early planing, extreme upwind pointing angles and higher board speed are all aimed for the more progressive and demanding rider. Whilst not having quite the same forgiving feeling as the Nobile 555 range the increased performanc will reward the more demanding rider.

Complete Anti Vibration Construction: Using a combination of wood, honeycomb, PVC foam, rubber, carbon and Kevlar the 666 range has the lowest vibration properties of any board currently in the market. Reducing vibration has a tried and tested effect on the ride characteristics of the board ensuring exceptional grip and ride quality through any and all water conditions.

Elliptical Progressive Concave: Elliptical Progressive Concave combines the added advantages of both the flat bottomed board and the concave shape. The tail area of the board is flat allowing increased flex for comfort and smooth turning whilst the centre section of the board has up to 5mm of concave providing earlier planing, extra rail grip and a smoother ride.

Tip Rocker Profilers: Supplied with all Nobile 2007 boards, their patented Tip Rocker Profilers are specifically matched to the profile of the fin. It's no secret that in choppy water some boards generate more spray than others. What's not commonly known though is that the spray is normally caused by water hitting your front foot and being kicked up into your eyes. Changing the rocker of the board changes the release point of the water but can also adversely effect the performance of the board. By placing the profilers under the fins on the heelside edge - you are effectively adding around 5mmm of kick into only the ultimate part of the tail of the board. In most cases this is enough to change the angle the board rides at in the water and eliminates the spray. If you don't have a problem or are fortunate enough to ride in flat water you can leave them out for the most efficient rocker possible.
