For 2008 Nobile have adjusted the sizes to achieve the perfect board for riders of all shapes, sizes and abilities and included a womens specific board.

Light wind planing, control at speed and phenomenal upwind ability are trademarks of the 555 range. It's ability to perform in all conditions inspiring confidence to all levels of rider are what sets it apart from the rest.

New for 2008 is a UV Stable textured top foil ensuring your ride will continue to look good for it's entire life whilst retained from 2007 are the industry first technologies that Nobile introduced to kiteboards. Anti Vibration technology and Elliptical Progressive Concave. The wider sizes of the 555 have been tuned to work in lighter winds and for heavier riders whilst the womens addition (apart from featuring a unique colour scheme) has a flex pattern suited to lighter riders and narrower stance options.

The Nobile 555 is designed to obtain performance and above all comfort. Recognizing the fact that not every rider has either the level or the desire to be a pro this range is all about fun in the water and going home with a smile. It's no use having the highest performance board on the beach if you dont have the skills to handle it.

For many riders an easy to ride board will allow them to perform better than a high performance model simply through extra control and confidence that they experience.

Who is the board designed for:
Each size is designed to provide a one board quiver. Light wind planing, great control when powered and fantastic upwind ability are all trademarks of the 555 range.

Not aimed at any specific riding style these are boards that will allow you to progress quickly and with the minimum of hassle no matter what your current level is.

Integrated Footbed System: For 2008 Nobile introduce the Integrated Footbed System increasing both comfort and functionality for the rider.

Simply select your stance and screw them in, no other assembly is necessary even the screws come ready in the pad. Gone is the difficult and consuming task of trying to compress the pad to fit the screws as is the risk of crossing threads and ruining the board before you even get to ride it!

Building the pad and strap together into one unit has allowed Nobile to completely eliminate twist at the fixation point; a major source of discomfort when riding.

Conventional straps are higned on one side for adjustment. The geometry of the strap fits the average size foot well but the bigger and smaller feet are left to suffer. Adjusting the size to it's extreme forces the form fitted sections into the wrong position in relation to your foot.

The vertical adjustment in our new system ensures that the strap fits into the correct position no matter what the size and shape of your foot without having to resort to using a screw driver.

3-D Top Mould: Nobiles' top mould has been completely recreated for 2008 models. By fine tuning the mould for different sizes - Nobile have managed to both simplify the range with less sizes but still provide a model for riders of all weights and ability levels.

Rocker: The 555 range features the Nobile Rocker R68/24. This rocker is optimized for early planing, good grip and easy upwind performance. Whilst not necessarily the ultimate performing rocker for any one specific style of riding this rockers represents Nobile's all round performance and suits the needs of riders looking for an easy riding board that enhances their ability and doesnt hold them back.

Improved POP: For 2008 Nobile have added wood to the composite core of PVC Airex and Honeycomb to the 555 model features to improve POP from the board without negatively effecting the super smooth, easy riding feel that the range is famous for. The wood is located through the central section extending into the tip and tail. Wood has been chosen due to it's ability to "snap" back to it's original position quickly and the added strength it gives to the board. All standards of rider from intermediate to advanced will appreciate this change as it gives added performance with no loss of control or comfort.

Comfort Optimised Flex Pattern: The flex pattern of this board has been tuned to give the ultimate in control and ease of use. Through the unique shape of the top mould of the board and the use the honeycomb and alrex stringers the flex is accurately allocated allowing you to concentrate on having fun and not on controlling the board.

Elliptical Anti Vibration Construction: With Nobile's unique honeycomb stringer Nobile can reduce the amount of vibration in the board to add control and comfort through choppy water and waves. The stringer also has the added advantage of increasing the POP of the board when jumping due to it's faster response time.

Elliptical Progressive Concave: Elliptical Progressive Concave combines the added advantages of both the flat bottomed board and the concave shape. The tail area of the board is flat allowing increased flex for comfort and smooth turning whilst the centre section of the board has up to 5mm of concave providing earlier planing, extra rail grip and a smoother ride.

Tip Rocker Profilers: Supplied with all Nobile 2008 boards, their patented Tip Rocker Profilers are specifically matched to the profile of the fin. It's no secret that in choppy water some boards generate more spray than others. What's not commonly known though is that the spray is normally caused by water hitting your front foot and being kicked up into your eyes. Changing the rocker of the board changes the release point of the water but can also adversely effect the performance of the board. By placing the profilers under the fins on the heelside edge - you are effectively adding around 5mmm of kick into only the ultimate part of the tail of the board. In most cases this is enough to change the angle the board rides at in the water and eliminates the spray. If you don't have a problem or are fortunate enough to ride in flat water you can leave them out for the most efficient rocker possible.

I have been through the entire worldwide web looking for a bad review but the Nobile 555 has consistently outranked every other board I have been looking at. Now I have one - I understand - its not just hype - these boards really are that good!

If you are just starting out - you are a seasoned rider or you are just enjoying the fun that kiteboarding brings, this is an excellent board.

 

The Nobile 555 has everything going for it! Nice graphics, excellent footstraps, nice sharp rail and forgiving feel if you are still getting used to the waves.

 

It rides upwind well, carves into the turns without skipping out and absorbs the jumps I am now doing which seem really high!

 

Overall whatever level you are at - if you can only afford one board for all conditions - then the Nobile 555 is going to give you the most fun and performance!
