The all new Andre Phillip Custom model has a new tip and tail shape that delivers more grip on the water while being more unrestricted on sliders. The Custom has a clean ride in any type of water conditions but it is hard to find a better board for extreme chop than the Custom. The generous rocker line makes the Custom insanely fun in small surf or on kickers. This board is an exercise in minimal design. Keeping the lines and aesthetic true to the core of wakestyle.

 

The 2013 Cabrinha Custom expands on the 3D bottom concept Cabrinha started many years ago. Expanding on the logic of defined channels as grip, Cabrinbha have increased the depth of the quad concave channels. The quad concave channels have been increased in definition throughout the tips for a more aggressive bite together with a increase in channel depth allowing the board to be ridden finless when needed.

 

An all new flex pattern offers straight line tracking and insane pop so hitting kickers and sliders or throwing down 3's is a piece of cake.

 

The Custom 2013 has stayed true to its core as a no compromise wakestyle / freestyle board. This board’s best kept secret is this: The same features that make it perform at the highest level in wakestyle and freestyle are also the same features that make it a great freeride board especially in flat water with short period chop.

 

The Custom can accommodate just about every type of connection method from boots to bindings to footstraps making this board truly versatile and customizable. The Custom’s rocker line and prominent channels compliment each other to deliver a smooth ride with positive grip with or without fins. The Custom has everything you need for performance riding and nothing you don’t. So if you can carry the board without a handle this might just be your board.

 

Adding to the improved bottom shape is the reduction of the concaves through the centre of the board. This is especially helpful when landing big tricks slightly off axis. The forgiving centre section gives the rider a stable, less catchy landing platform while the concave tips provide all of the bite needed. The Cabrinha Custom 2013 has also moved to a wood core for added durability and a smoother ride.

 

The Cabrinha Custom 2013 can be ridden fin less when hitting sliders and still be able to throw down any trick in the book. Whether you are into flat water tricks or hitting obstacles, the Cabrinha Custom will allow you to push your riding to the limits.

 

The new improved construction now implements hard glass to increase strength and deliver a better flex pattern.

 

The PVC core is precision milled and all materials are strategically placed to deliver the optimum weight, flex and rebound.

 

Paulownia Wood Core:
Vertically laminated Paulownia stringers produce a high compression / lightweight core. Paulownia has one of the highest strength to weight ratios of all wood species. The result is simple. Bullet proof, with a smooth consistent flex pattern.

Quadcave:

The very latest in 3D bottom shaping with the concave and step bleeding through the perimeters of the board to increase tracking and create and allow true finless performance. The centre flat sections reduce the boards tendency to stick on-off axis landings and eliminate spray in the eyes by allowing the nose to rider higher.

 

Carbon Stringer (CST):
Full carbon stringers "tip to tail" ensure quick rebound, extra pop and livelier feel for your ride.

 

Tri-Block Inserts:
Stainless steel inserts are custom made to eliminate pull-out and spinning. M6-6 thread and sized properly to fit core profiles. First mounted into an ABS block, then inserted into the core with absolute precision - making them stronger and more accurate then ever before!

 

Quadrax Fibreglass Laminate:
A four axis weave of fibreglass that is extremely strong and light resulting in a very lively feel and response.

 

Hardglass:
A pre-laminated fibreglass thats pre-tensioned and cured under pressure. We apply this to the board in strategic locations to increase strength with a minimal increase to the weight.

 

Top and Bottom Sheet:
A lightweight and tough material. UV and scratch resistance properties make it perfect for Kiteboard production.

 

ABS Rails:
The ABS sidewall is laminated to the core during the lay-up process. It's designed to increase the strength while ensuring a smooth, durable and consistent ride.

 

Core Profile:
All of Cabrinha's core are produced with CNC milling. This means that every core is true to their design. Flex, profile and manufacturing consistency are all exact every time.

 

Flex Pattern (True Twin Flex):
A symetric pattern provides and identical flex, forward or switch, ideal for all types of riding conditions.

 

Mounting System (Stainless Steel Inserts):
Based on the industry standard 6 inch (15.24cm) pattern. Cabrinha's stainless steel inserts are custom made to eliminate pull out and spinning. Cabrinha's inserts are all 1/4-20 thread and sized to properly fit the core profiles. They are inserted from the bottom of the core, glued and are in for good.

Arrangement / Layup (Laminate):
Each board has its own unique layup. Cabrinha have tested many different laminates to produce the best combination of strength and weight. The Cores are profiled to dial in the specific flex for a design. Then the laminate is applied to support the flex and increase strength.

Design Elements:
Quadcave: The Cabrinha Caliber boards receive the very latest in 3-d bottom shaping with the concave and step bleeding through the perimeter of the board to increase tracking and create and allow true finless performance.   The centre flat sections reduce the boards tendency to stick on off axis landings and eliminate spray in the eyes by allowing the nose to rider higher.
Core Profiles: All cores are produced with CNC milling. This means that every core is true to our design. Flex, profile and manufacturing consistency are all exact, every time.
Rocker: The rocker is a key element in the overall feel and performance of your board. Cabrinha use four distinct rockers based on the performance targets of the boards.
Flex Pattern: A symmetric pattern provides an identical flex, forward or switch, ideal for all types of riding conditions. The center sections are stiffer to give excellent edge control. Controlled flex in the tips give the boards pop and control in all water conditions.
Stance Options: A crazy amount of stance options are available now with the addition of inserts for use with Sync and Wake Stance Options.
Board Tech:
Wood: Vertically laminated Paulownia produces a high compression, lightweight core. Paulownia has one of the highest strength to weight ratios of all wood species.The result is simple. Bullet proof, with a smooth, consistent flex pattern.   Average Density: 310kg/ m³. Eco-friendly wood core.
EPS: EPS cores are watertight and offer high impact resistance.   EPS is combined with a wood laminate and PVC to provide an ultra light durable core.   Average Density 20kg/m³

Future Fin System: Future fin boxes are the most user friendly and strongest removable fin system available on the market. The system offers all the positive features of removable fins, while providing better performance than glass-on fins.
Wood Stringer: Reinforced Wood stringers adds strength while allowing flex to the surfboard range.
