Choosing a Wakeboard Rope / Line:

Wakeboard Ropes and Lines are typically made of polyethylene or spectra, these ropes will stretch around one percent under normal loads.

 

Professionals always use Spectra, but most all wakeboarders will appreciate the predictable feel of a rope that doesn’t stretch.

 

Rope length is a matter of personal preference, but those just starting out may prefer a shorter rope length because the wake is narrower and closer to the boat.

 

With a longer rope you can generate more speed into the wake and catch more air as you pop off the wake. The longer the rope, the longer distance and more time you can spend in the air.

 

Poly E:
A low stretch rope material, Poly E is a bit more forgiving. Poly E will stretch 2 to 3 percent of it's length under normal riding load. The give in the rope helps absorb the shock as you cross the wake which benefits beginners.

 

Dyneema
Dyneema rope outperforms many other synthetic rope materials in terms of both tension and bending fatigue tests yet is super-thin and light. Dyneema stands up to salt water and has strong UV and abrasion resistance prolonging it's durability.

 

Spectra:
Spectra is a fibre 10x stronger than steel, remarkably, however, Spectra is ultra-lightweight. Wakeboard ropes / lines made from Spectra will float, ultra-durable and have almost zero-stretch.

 

Non-stretch ropes allow the rider to build more tension while on edge, giving you the ability to go higher and take your tricks further!

The Ronix R8 6-Section mainline provides you with a roomy tangle-free 80ft line. A stiff, yet lightweight construction delivers top end performance.

 

The R8's urethane coating is a snag-free smooth rope that runs through your hands easily as the driver circles to get you back on the wake.

 

With an overall length of 85' including handle, 5 x 5ft take-off sections, you'll be able to dial in the perfect position behind any ride.
