Location:
Long Stratton - Norfolk, UK
How
did you get started in power kiting:
I first started when I bought a proteam
8 about 2 and half years ago, we took it to a field and i was
hooked straight away!
What
equipment do you use:
High performance four line foils - I mainly
use Flexifoil Blade III's on handles.
Which
landboard do you use:
Mbs Core 1 - it is one of the lightest board
on the market and is small enough for most tricks in the book.
What
have you been doing the past year:
Loads of practice - but mostly competing
and attending events.
What
plans do you have for this year:
To carry on going to events and competitions,
and mainly get out as much as I did this year to get more practice
in.
Favourite
Landboarding Spot:
It has to be Black Rock Sands, North Wales
as its the smoothest beach I have ridden.
What would you recommend as a first
time kite landboarder who wanted to enter into the sport, what
kite would you recommend and why:
For anyone wanting to start kite landboarding,
you must remember to be able to handle the kite 100% before going
onto a board, A good starter kite would be a 3-4 metre low-mid
performance kite.
What
kind of tricks do you like to do?
At the moment I am concentrating on board
varials, and rotations with technical tricks and now starting
kiteloops.
What
surface do you prefer for landboarding?
I prefer grass to sand but if you could
combine the wind from the beach and grass together it would be
perfect!
How
do you think the sport will grow?
Huge! It's such a good spectators sport
and everyone can get close in on the action.
What's
is your best session to date?
There are all good! But I have a better
time when the wind is clean!
Have
you received any injuries from power kiting?
Small knee injury which is about it, nothing
serious though.
Anything
else you want to say?
Just have fun!
