Powerslide XC Trail Skates are designed to
go over any type of surface including asphalt, dirt, gravel,
grass and mountain trails. They roll easily over bumps, cracks,
and debris.
Requiring very little wind to get going -
you can practice in safety in as little as 6mph and rip it
up when the wind speed increases!
You can skate almost anywhere, on road, off-road,
smooth or rough terrain - you set the limits!
Similar to a snowboard binding, you can carve
and jump around like any pro snowboarder without losing control!
The mounted boot has a strong fibreglass shell and a 3 buckle
closing system allow for direct power transfer. A foam coating
integrated between the foot and the bindings unit also allows
for optimal comfort.

Boot Sizing:
The Powerslide Nordic Boot sizing are built more like that
of an athletic shoe, snug and supportive to reduce the foot
movement inside the boot. This translates into superior skate
control and response. The Powerslide boot bindings also provides
retention so if a rider prefers a little more flexion in the
upper zone they can achieve this by loosening the buckles
in the zone required.
The Powerslide fit is on the smaller side, roughly a ½
size. We encourage customers to try out the next size up that
corresponds to their actual foot size and not that of traditional
boots they have used in the past.

Trail Shell:
The Powerslide shell is very rigid and gives a lot of
support especially to nordic skating beginner. This
solid shell also protects the skaters feet from any
heavy impacts that might appear during off road skating.
The shell is made out of a special composite compound
that is very stiff thanks to the 15% fiberglass, which
was mixed into the material. It features a 165mm long
mounting distance including an across slot which enables
the skater to adjust the frame frames to the side in
order to find the perfect skating position. The bottom
is also ventilated.

Trail Cuff:
The cuff has been designed with support in mind. It
is made out of a special composite compound that is
super stiff thanks to the 15% fibreglass, which was
mixed into the material. The buckle is a clean and stylish
fast lock buckle.

Trail Padding:
This skate comes with a removable and washable liner.
The thin outsole of the liner even enables the skater
to walk if certain circumstances require it. The liner
features unique 3 layer padding, harder foam on the
outside, softer foam on the inside and an additional
3-D latex foam in the ankle area for a perfect ankle
and heel look to increase support during every stride.
Under the lining we added a soft sponge foam for extra
comfort and support.

This model features a simple and solid 3 buckle closure
system.

Trail Frame:
The frame is made out of a two-piece construction, two
separate aluminium 3-D stamped sidewalls, connected
together with a strong and solid mounting block. The
frame is made out of 6061 aircraft aluminium. It´s
an aluminium mixture which is strong and lightweight.
The standard mounting of this frame is 165mm, fitting
various fitness skates on the market. An integrated
spacer improves the stiffness of the frame. The frame
uses 8mm axles which can be opened and closed with just
one tool as the axles have a locking head which connects
to the frame.

Trail Tires:
The 6 ¼” Road Star air tires are made by
Kenda – a well known manufacturer for tires. They
come with a strong 5-spoke rim. The hole around the
valve is covered with rim tape which is well known in
bicycle tires. The rubber outer jacket is reinforced
with Vectran fibers adding strength to the jacket. The
tire has an off road profile for better grip. The tires
are inflateable up to maximum 6,3bar / 90 psi. We also
offer 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels for those skaters
who like to skate mainly on asphalted roads and like
to have more speed.

Trail Bearings:
The skate features Powerslide Rustproof bearings lubricated
with light grease. It has serviceable shields, a strong
and solid composite cage and 7 steel balls, which are
honed and finished to perfection to guarantee a smooth
and nice roll.

Trail Brake:
The Powerslide calf brake offers a lot of possibilities
to adjust to the individual’s preferences and
skating skills to provide the skater with a secure feeling
and optimal braking function. The skater has the possibility
to adjust the brakepad in all directions and even the
angle. The height adjustment function is perfect to
find the preferred personal braking position, with more
straight leg or more angled legs. Also once worn down
the angle of the brake pad can be adjusted keep the
best braking point for more safety and security. The
pad can be easily replaced if worn down. The soft pad
itself when tightened to the leg can also be adjusted
in height. And finally the soft pad can be shifted forwards
and backwards. The skate comes with only one brake system
only. The skater has the option to switch the brake
to the other side if you prefer or purchase an additional
brake system which you can assemble to the second skate
if you feels more secure with two brakes.
