The all new Cabrinha Nomad IDS continues it's foray into the
Freestyle Wave Kite Arena. The non-bow hybrid IDS kite combines
the best of both worlds…a moderate C-shaped arc and
an IDS bridle to deliver Cabrinha's fastest turning kite yet.
The Cabrinha Nomad creates the type of kite
turns that increase in power throughout the turning arc by
pivoting off of the wing tip. This makes for powered kite
loops unlike anything on the market.
If throwing kiteloops or towing yourself into
the surf with a kite sounds like your thing, then the Nomad
IDS is the kite for you. New and improved material and construction
are the foundation of a totally new design which enhances
it's quick turning and high depower characteristics.
Shinn Player:
The Player is Shinn Kiteboarding's Freestyle
board. It has been created to excel in all types of riding
style by focusing on ease of use and versatility.
The hallmarks of insane edge grip, super high
board speeds and effortless planning are retained but added
to the blend is increased global flex for comfort and control
and an all new 3-stage rocker profile dramatically improving
your aggressive POP and reducing unwanted tip spray.

Relaunch on command:
The Convert’s relaunch capability is
so easy that your hands never have to leave the control system.
By simply pointing the end of the control system towards the
kite, the wing tip will rise off of the water and launch the
kite into the sky. Unlike other relaunch methods, The Nomad
IDS allows you to decide when to launch the kite and which
direction it goes into the air. Its simple... and it keeps
the control in your hands... where it should be.
IDS (Intelligent Depower System):
The Intelligent Depower System (IDS) provides
an amazing level of control with minimum rider effort and
input. IDS is a simplified bridle and control system exclusive
to Cabrinha.
IDS produces virtually no bar pressure while
delivering precise control of the steering and power of your
kite. IDS is so intuitive that it seamlessly provides 2 stages
of depower. Interactive Depower on Demand while riding, and
an Absolute Depower method to land your kite.
Absolute Depower functions similar to a 5th
line system, but without the complexity of the unnecessary
5th line. Cabrinha IDS equipped kites use only 4 lines for
a simple, uncluttered method of control and security. Additionally,
the IDS bridle maintains all of the instant relaunch functionality
the Cabrinha kites are famous for.
Shinn Player:
Footbed and Straps:
The connection between rider and board can make or break the
quality of your ride. Of course they should look slick but
only after the function is perfect.
Shinn Kiteboarding's deep section EVA cushioning
ensures luxurious comfort even during the harshest landings,
whilst a carefully placed section of memory foam adjusts the
surface to the shape of your feet after only a couple of hours
riding. Multi-position fixation points allow you to fine tune
your stance to perfection. The Shinn footstrap has been shaped
to provide maximum grip on your foot with minimal pressure
points and complete ease of adjustability.
Fins:
All Shinn twin tips are supplied with high visibility G10
fins and deck protection plates. Shaped exclusively for us
from G10 Epoxy (for unsurpassed durability), this 53mm shape
provides exceptional grip for it's size whilst still offering
great manoeuvrability.
Core Construction:
What's inside your board will make a huge difference to how
it performs. There is a lot of talk about flex but the mount
of flex is just the tip of the iceberg, what"s more important
is where the board flex"s and how fast it responds after
that flex.
Each Shinn twin tip has a carefully engineered
core that optimises these characteristics and enhances them
for the target rider. Core materials, glass layup and mould
shaping are all factors that help us in this area but the
heart of every Shinn twin tip is comprised 'mostly' of an
Alabasia wood core.
No other core material offers the same blend
of consistent flex over extended periods of time, feather
light weight and near indestructible durability (not to mention
environmental friendliness).
Mould Shaping:
Freestyle Mould Shinn FS7 is designed to provide the ultimate
blend of pop and control. The area around the fins is able
to flex ensuring comfort and grip when riding however the
centre section of the tail has been stiffened to reduce loss
of power when releasing from the water.
Rocker and Outline:
Conventional freestyle boards rely on straight outlines through
the tail section of the board to achieve good edge grip but
sacrifice carving ability along the way - something that's
essential to achieving good pop if you ride with your kite
low.
By extending the central rocker flat and increasing
the radius through the tail Shinn Kiteboarding have created
a platform that still exhibits supreme levels of grip on the
rail but also allows them to expand the surface area in the
tip and tail making hard carving and hence aggressive pop
possible. As with all Shinn boards, The Player features a
central concave washing out to flat areas in the tips to provide
both earlier planning and extra flex control.
