Nobile
Integrated Footbed Pro System: |
Integrated Footbed Pro System: The Nobile IFS Pro foot bed is the world’s first triple-density, moulded pad. With each layer becoming progressively harder, the shock absorbing qualities of the pad “ramp up” through it’s depth, preventing any possibility of your foot hitting the board, whilst still delivering a firm surface that gives a direct feeling of the board when riding.
In the 2012 edition Nobile introduce not only the multiple position mounting system, so you can choose the angle that suits you best, but also unique, built-in shock-absorber for even more comfort on landings.
On the front edge, multi-ridged toe strip helps with grip, whatever your foot size, and the moulded Polyurethane texture under the heels provides traction in all conditions.
Inside the footstrap, a new hot press formed, EVA pad ensures exact shaping specifications are met in every unit. Integrated inserts inside the foot bed means that there is no exposed webbing or hard materials to rub on your foot – what ever size it’s set to.
Vertical adjustment on the strap is retained from the original IFS system to ensure the perfect fit for all feet however, adjustment is now taken care of with a new non-stretch, buckle fixing system, which allows micro adjustment with vastly increased ease of use over a Velcro based system.
Select your stance and screw them in, no other assembly is necessary even the screws come ready set in the pad.
Adjusting the size to it’s extremes - forces the form fitted sections into the wrong position in relation to your foot.
Construction:
3D CNC Mould: The IFS is made in a specific 3D CNC'd mould, shaped to your foot as opposed to a flat block of foam that is shaped by sanding. This construction allows very precise control and cost effective detailed moulding of the core materials.
3 Density Cores: Shape compression areas, to ensure you always have reserve compression for extremely high impacts on already heavy loadings, saving both board and joint damage.
Supports distribution loadings, to make sure the harder you push the more locked in your feet stay. When the pad is loaded if pushes your foot further into the strap and pad to make sure you stay locked in.
Allows soft skin compression, which makes you foot nestle into position keeping the board on your feet during zero loading (ie jumping).
Nobile IFS Pro 3D Heat Moulded Inner Pad:
The Nobile IFS Pro Pad also uses a new technology of footstrap. The IFS pro strap core is a heat formed polyurethane molding much like a trainer base, but with far less density. Normal straps are made with solid flat material, shaped in plan shape but not in thickness or form.
If you look closely at the Nobile IFS Pro strap you will see the internal construction It's very advanced offering new technology in support, comfort and security. Now both upper and lower sections of the IFS base are specifically molded to wedge your foot in place.
Finally, the Nobile IFS PRO has been built with the environment in mind, shown in its adhesive free construction and 100% recyclable packaging.
The Nobile IFS Pro guarantees that every ride is a pleasure with unparalleled levels of comfort and function.
Nobile Click 'N' Go Fin System: All 2012 fins are produced in KISS tool-free mounting standard. It takes just few seconds to mount/demount fins with your bare hands. Screwdriver is no longer necessary.
Fins are made in extremely high visibility, "ultra orange" colour, so you always know where you dropped your precious kiteboard. |

The Nobile Flying Carpet 2012 is a light wind machine! The synergy of advanced technology and excellent shape gives the rider unmatched upwind performance and previously unattainable light wind fun with unexpected freeride possibilities.
The Nobile Flying Carpet also uses Nobile Pre-Stress technology. During the production process, Nobile "freeze and store" the energy in the board construction. This energy is then for your disposal just when you need it. It benefits with more pop, fast reaction, better grip, manoeuvrabiliy and anything you want to use it for. This technology also allows Nobile to make the Flying Carpet lighter than ever.
Versatility has been enhanced by utilizing Nobile's new Dynamic Asymmetrical Outline. Focusing mainly on the toe-side edge, means that the test winning rail grip, early planing and upwind ability of the Nobile Flying Carpet range still remains.
The new mould allows Nobile to add more flex into the fin areas of the board without effecting the central nose and tail sections that are responsible for the higher performance characteristics. Nobile have also added a high gloss UV stable top foil to the board to ensure it's good looks last forever.
The Nobile Flying Carpet is also a great board for first time riders and kite schools making your learning easier, faster and more comfortable.
The Human Concept
- Dynamic Asymmetrical Outline:
You can’t escape the fact that kite-boarding stances
are not symmetrical; can you ride the same on your toe side
and heel side edges? If not, then you
have to ask yourself why your board has the same outline and
fin position on the heel side and toe side edges.
Nobile’s Dynamic Asymmetrical Outline is designed around
their Human Concept, performance that is destined to enhance
and work in harmony with your natural physiology, not fight
against it.
Nobile have tailored the outline on your stronger heel side
rail to have more grip, better upwind performance and maximum
POP. On the weaker toe side, Nobile have increased the curve
radius and bought the fins closer to your feet improving the
carving potential and comfort factor of the board when riding
switch whilst at the same time radically decreasing the foot
pressure needed to hold your edge.
Pre-Stress Technology:
The idea of pre-stress was already know by architects in ancient
Rome and was used during the construction of the Colosseum.
Pre-stressing means the intentional creation of permanent
stresses in structure for the purpose of improving its performance
under various service conditions.
Nobile Pre-Stress allows Nobile to load the board with energy already during the production process. Storing the energy in the board mean's it's more reactive, responsive and livelier. It also allows Nobile to build a thinner but more durable board!
3D Top Mould:
By fine tuning the mould for different sizes - Nobile have
managed to both simplify the range with less sizes but still
provide a model for riders of all weights and ability levels.
Elliptical Progressive
Concave:
Elliptical Progressive Concave combines the added advantages
of both the flat bottomed board and the concave shape. The
tail area of the board is flat allowing increased flex for
comfort and smooth turning whilst the centre section of the
board has up to 5mm of concave providing earlier planing,
extra rail grip and a smoother ride.
Hydrodynamic Rocker
Line:
A conventional rocker with it's flatter centre section and
increasing radius towards the tail causes the water to accelerate
along its length as the distance it has to travel increases.
This acceleration causes drag on the board. Nobile's hydrodynamic
rocker contains most of it's radius in the centre of the board.
The straight action enables the water to maintain it's direction
of travel all the way along the bottom of the board making
the drag from the water to be reduced to a minimum as it travels
the shortest distance possible. For 2012, Nobile have increased
the lift in the tips of the Hydrodynamic Rocker Line. This
subtle change increases versatility (particularly when switching
from heel-side to toe-side) and dramatically reduces unwanted
spray whilst maintaining all other benefits the Nobile Flying
Carpet has become famous for.
Complete Anti-Vibration
Control:
It is a little known fact that proper flex control in a kiteboard
is not solely determined by the deck's overall deflection
in response to pressure. Variable flex zones, flex response
speeds and vibration control are all equally important factors.
Fast flex response speeds can raise the performance characteristics
of a board that can cause rail "chatter" at speed,
leading to a loss of rail grip and a general lack of comfort.
Reducing this "chatter" or vibration through the
use of advanced core materials and laminate provides exceptional
rail grip in all conditions and increases rider comfort and
control.
UV Resistant Foils:
Having the best performing board on the market won't prevent
disappointment if the colours start to fade after 6 months
use. Nobile's UV resistant foils ensure your board will look
as good in six month's as the day it came out of the wrapper.
Nobile Integrated Footbed Pro System: The Nobile IFS Pro foot bed is the world’s first triple-density, moulded pad. With each layer becoming progressively harder, the shock absorbing qualities of the pad “ramp up” through it’s depth, preventing any possibility of your foot hitting the board, whilst still delivering a firm surface that gives a direct feeling of the board when riding.
Nobile G-10 Fins:
Nobile fins are 55mm and molded in high visibility orange to help in finding the board after wipeouts.
