The Naish Thorn CC 2011 delivers the most direct power for light wind efficiency, upwind drive, and explosive freestyle pop on-demand. World Champion Kevin Langeree was unwilling to compromise any amount of the Thorn’s speed and power that has been absolutely proven by his competition excellence in the various conditions around the world.

 

The Naish Thorn’s moderately more parallel outline, wider tips and low rocker line perfectly balances locked-in grip with essential control. Naish's greatest achievement for 2011 was from continued construction development where we managed to combine truly the best attributes of previous Naish Thorn Boards.

 

The development objective for 2011 was to add more board control for landing fully powered, but without sacrificing any of the Thorn's blistering top speed. The addition of composite I-Beams through the wood core locks the top and bottom laminates into a higher-tension framework. This keeps the board from distorting under the extreme loads of hard landings. The last 20% to the tips of the board remain without I-Beams to retain a softer flex, freeing up the lively responsiveness of the Thorn's carbon-composite construction.

Carbon Composite Laminates
The 2011 Naish Thorn CC fuses laminates for a flex character, reflex response, anti-vibration, anti-distortion, weight and durability combination superior to its predecessors.

 

Optimized Response Flex

Specifically tailored in combination with the Naish Thorn CC’s outline and rocker, the Optimized Response Flex is moderately soft under lighter loads to allow the board to dynamically respond to input, while progressively stiffing in flex under higher loads to retain direct energy transfer between the rider and the board.

 

Pro Power Performance

Absolute top speed, efficiency, upwind drive, edging power and control - ideal for both International Team’s freestyle competition, as well as premium, versatile, advanced freeriding.

 

Tip-2-Tip Hybrid Wood Core

Featuring a tip-to-tip solid wood core with a highly developed thickness taper and hybrid of different densities of vertically laminated wood. This new core is combined with top and bottom laminates unique to each board model. Each model is engineered with an exact flex characteristic for specific riding performance and unsurpassed durability.
