Naish Fly 2014 Water Relaunchable Kite >>
Designed for fun in light to marginal wind conditions. The Naish Fly 2014 goes in virtually no wind and is incredibly fun to ride. Its exceptionally light weight is primarily the result of removing the centre strut. In doing this, the centre section of the canopy performs like a spinnaker and generates incredible power in light wind.
It has amazing low-end power due to its proven two-strut, easy-handling design, which also provides superior turning and control, allowing riders to practice their manoeuvrs no matter how light the wind is.
The Fly’s new reduced leading edge taper also adds rigidity to the wing tip, moving the axis of rotation closer to the centre of the kite, resulting in sharper turning and a more precise bar feel.
Naish have also focused on the low-end power delivery without losing any of the light, crisp feel. LE percentage and profile depth have been tuned to improve the low-end pull. Naish also slightly reduced the sweep in order to get the overall platform closer to a real classic C-shape.
To maintain the relaunch characteristics, Naish have slightly extended the wing tips, to keep the same leverage on the overall kite when the rider pulls on the back line. The rider can expect earlier planing without sacrificing handling. The bar feel is crisper, which means the rider can better feel what the kite is doing and can steer it with precision. The relaunch is also improved over last year’s edition.
Light-Wind Two Strut Design:
When the wind is light, you want to maximize the ratio of power to weight of the kite. To do that, you want to have as much power with the lightest kite possible. The two struts offer significant weight savings. Think about the amount of dacron and TPU (which are the heaviest materials in a kite) that are saved. At the same time, having no centre strut allows the centre of the kite to act like a spinnaker. It can expand slightly to harness more wind. The result is that the Fly has the highest power/weight ratio on the market.
The “do everything” nature of the Fly opens up a huge range of performance options for the rider. It is the perfect tool whether you are focusing on sticking that handle-pass rotation, bashing the lip or maximizing your freeride time out on the water.
The Naish Fly 2014 uses patented design features including Power Foil Canopy. This increase performance at different levels and creates an amazing step forward in kite performance.
Drag Wing Tip:
The more efficient the lift / drag ratio becomes, the faster the wing tip can move through the air, which allows the kite to be both quicker and more responsive through turns.
The Naish exclusive one-way internal valve ensures that the pressure in the struts does not change during turns.
These seams carry most of the load, and spread it higher into the canopy.
This construction avoids fatigue on the fabric and in the wing tip area.

Swept Compact C:
Blends the pop and lift of a C-kite with the power, control and turning of a swept leading edge kite. In addition, the Swept Compact C-shape also provides ideal relaunch capabilities.
The profile's depth and shape evolves along the airfoil. The centre sections generate power and speed. The tips are fast turning and minimize drag. This creates a fast flying, stable kite with less back stalling.
