| Naish Kiteboarding
Sigma Outline The Naish Sigma Outline is an aerodynamic "bird-in-flight" shape that moves much of the centre canopy area behind the tow point, resulting in a kite that has unmatched stability even at an extremely low angle of attack. The Sigma Outline also provides a linear power band and bar pressure with very easy water relaunch. |

| Naish Kiteboarding
Geo-Tech: Straight leading edge segments between the struts provide constant tension on the canopy in order to form perfect foil definition. It maintains an extremely stable foil at any flying angle. The result is an unbelievably smooth and stable kite with superior control at the higher end of the wind range. |
![]() |
| Low Drag Wing
Tip: This wing tip geometry reduces the overall surface of the non-lifting portion and greatly reduces drag. The more efficient the lift / drag ratio becomes, the faster the wing tip can move through the air, which allows the kite to be both quicker and more responsive through turns. |
![]() |
| Direct Response
Steering: The angle of attack on the wing tips have been increased to keep them more actively engaged. When bar input is added, the wingtip instantly reacts and produces drag, while the opposite wing tip instantly accelerates, which creates quicker turning. Relaunch is also optimized as the lines hang to the inside of the kite and have less chance of becoming wrapped around the wing tip. |

| Geo-Tech Segmented
C-Shape: The mix of C-shape characteristics coupled with the stability and canopy tension of Geo-Tech construction. The centre of the kite is flat with a large angle at the S2 strut. The improves turning by allowing the kite to twist at the S2 position, while keeping the centre of the canopy with clean airflow for consistent power in the turn. |

| Octopus Inflation
System: Proven, quick and easy singly point inflation system creating uniform pressure in the struts. The Naish exclusive one-way internal valve ensures that the pressure in the struts does not change during turns. |

The Naish Bolt 2012 is versatile, stable and predictable. The Bolt 2012 is for riders who are looking for an all-around kite, with superior stability.
The Bolt is built on the Naish Sigma foundation, to provide stability, fast turning and solid bar feel. Featuring the new Evolutive Profile, the Bolt is power-oriented in the large sizes and control-focused in the smaller sizes.
The Geo-Tech construction maintains the designed shape even in the gustiest of conditions — ensuring a long-lasting kite.
The Naish Bolt 2012 is for riders who demand performance over the broadest of conditions. It incorporates the newest design DNA for incredible stability, direct bar feel, fast turning and easy jumping.
For 2012, Naish have concentrated on improving control over the kite's wind range in three ways. The wing tip angles (direct response steering) have been reworked in all sizes, to create less drag on the kite. The arc in the centre area has been rounded out. This increases the surface in the middle of the kite and allows the trailing edge curve to match the leading edge shape perfectly and Naish have developed a new automated application involving the calculations of the leading edge's moment of inertia, Young modulus, and air pressure, to generate the perfect LE diameter for each kite size.
The result is a kite that is able to fly faster and further forward in the window, providing more lift efficiency, better low-end and all-around stability, generates more power in the low end and is more lift efficient and each kite size has ideal LE rigidity and the smallest drag possible, to fly as far forward as possible.
The new simplified bridles provide direct and light bar feel, and the degree of Naish Sigma angle has been increased to improve turning characteristics and linear bar feel.
Designed for beginner through to advanced riders seeking a stable, easy-handling kite. The Naish Bolt 2012 now boasts an even larger sweet spot, ideal pull through the turns, and enhanced smoothness.
Beginners will enjoy the smooth and responsive steering, light bar pressure, and depower capability. Advanced riders will appreciate the balanced feel hooked-in or unhooked. The easy re-launch will help beginner to advanced rider get back up and going in a moment.
For 2012"Geo-Tech Generated C-Shape" and simplified bridles provide a more direct bar feel. The amount of Naish Sigma has been increased to improve turning characteristics and linear bar feel.
Naish’s new Sigma design concepts and Geo-Tech construction define the natural evolution of using new technologies to adapt to the ever-changing performance requirements of modern kites.
Visually striking while providing amazing canopy tension, these kites have unmatched stability and wind range, precise handling, light and linear bar pressure, and unbelievably easy water re-launch capabilities. One glimpse, one ride, and you will never look at Kiteboarding the same again.
The Naish Bolt uses two new patented design
features: Sigma Outline and Geotech. Both increase performance
at different levels, and their combination creates an amazing
step forward in kite performance.
Now, more than ever, the sport of kiteboarding has been simplified
with the smoothh and predictable All-Terrain performance of
the new Naish Bolt 2012.
Blended Geo-Tech:
Power Foil Canopy in the centre of the kite for increased power. Geo-Tech is used on the lower arc where angle-of-attack on the foil is low. This provides superior stability, less drag and a solid feel in the air.
Evolutive Profile:
The profile's depth and shape evolves along the airfoil. The center sections generate power and speed. The tips are fast turning and minimize drag. This creates a fast flying, stable kite with less back stalling.
Low
Drag Wing Tip:
This wing tip geometry reduces the overall surface of the
non-lifting portion and greatly reduces drag. The more efficient
the lift / drag ratio
becomes, the faster the wing tip can move through the air,
which allows the kite to be both quicker and more responsive
through turns.
Anti-Stiction
Window:
The wing tip features a flow-through window, which reduces
static friction and allows easy relaunch by letting water
drain instantly.
Direct
Response Steering:
The angle-of-attack on the wing tips has been increased to
keep them more actively engaged. When bar input is added,
the wing tip instantly reacts and produces drag, while the
opposite wing tip instantly accelerates. This allows the kite
to turn quicker.
Octopus
Inflation System:
Proven, quick and easy singly point inflation system creating
uniform pressure in the struts. The Naish exclusive one-way
internal valve ensures that the pressure in the struts does
not change during turns.
Solid
Frame Construction:
Every strut is attached to a frame of heavy duty Dacron that
is then sewn onto the canopy for unmatched resistance to wear
and heavy loads.
Radial
Load Distribution:
All wing tips are designed with seams running parallel to
the load generated by the flying lines. These seams carry
most of the load, and spread it higher into the canopy. This
construction avoids fatigue on the fabric and in the wing
tip area.
LWR
(Light Wind Relaunch):
With all the new options available in light wind boards, riders
are pushing the envelope of what is considered rideable. The
new LWR (Light Wind Relaunch) gives the rider complete confidence
when going out in the lightest of wind. This system lifts
the wing tip independent of the rear leader line, and cups
the trailing edge for instant relaunch. The LWR works when
nothing else will.
Naish Sigma Outline
>
The Naish Sigma shape improves the kite performance at every
level. The Sigma Outline is an advanced engineering design
that increases the efficiency of our kites.
The Naish Sigma Outline is a radically re-shaped leading edge that moves a large portion of the centre canopy behind the tow point. The result is a perfectly balanced kite that delivers significant performance improvements in the areas of overall stability, bar pressure and feel, turning, and relaunch.

This illustration shows how the lifting surface remains in
a safe neutral zone behind the tow point even at extreme depower.
This minimizes the movement of the centre of effort, resulting
in very even bar pressure regardless of the kites flying position.
The performance of Sigma Outline kites combined with the Geo-Tech design is far superior to any bow concept in that the keeps the kite more stable than any bow, there is no inversion with Sigma Series kites, and they have a wider wind range due to more efficient profiles.
Overall, the Sigma design produces a balanced, linear power band combined with bar pressure that remains light but steady through a wide range of trim angles, creating a nearly perfect feedback loop between rider and kite.

The Naish Sigma leading edge
enables the rider to turn the kite at any speed with absolute
control. This Naish Sigma leading edge produces a ‘hinge’
point at the centre of the kite.
Unlike conventional kites that use a maximum of 30% of the
kite area to generate turning forces, the Naish Sigma cleanly
deforms from the centre to produce a highly effective turning
shape (comprised of nearly 50% of the total area) that responds
more quickly and accurately to rider input.
Naish Sigma Water
Relaunch >
When Naish Sigma kites are on the water with the leading edge
facing down the reduced area of contact compared to a conventional
bow kites allows the kite to be almost instantly re-launched.
During water relaunch the kite pivots on either shoulder point. The rapid recovery gives the rider confidence to try new moves with out the worry of losing time and ground.
The Naish Sigma kites offer the easiest relaunch in kiteboarding history.

The illustration above shows how the area in contact with the water has been greatly reduced, and how the kite is able to pivot off either ‘shoulder’ for relaunch.
Geo-Tech Design >
The principle of the Geotech design is to keep the tension
of the canopy in between the struts on the leading edge side
of the kite. Geo-Tech is extremely simple, as it requires
fewer seams.
The Geo-Tech concept provides constant tension in the kites canopy by incorporating straight line segments in the leading edge. With the constant canopy tension, the overall foil profile is perfectly controlled and defined, which allows the kite to remain extremely stable through the entire range of depower and considerably increases the wind range.

Wind pressure is not necessary to maintain the canopy profile, and at low angles of attack Geo-Tech keeps the canopy from collapsing. By maintaining a consistent aerodynamic leading edge Geo-Tech provides a wrinkle free canopy, large depower range, and stability at broad angles of attack where historically kites with a large depower range have experienced distortion.
The tension of the canopy between the
struts is amazing compared to any kite without Geo-Tech. It
is very noticeable when the kite is depowered (i.e. when the
angle of attack is very close to the wind direction). The
result is a kite that keeps its easy steering ability even
when it is sheeted out. The tension in the canopy also gives
the kite an overall cleaner profile during every moment of
your riding session for better upwind, jumps, and overall
performance.
Combined with Sigma shape, Geo-Tech creates the most precise and controllable kites ever, which maintain this feeling and control through an amazingly broad wind range.
Geo-Tech Segmented

The mix of C-shape characteristics coupled with the stability
and canopy tension of Geo-Tech construction. The centre of
the kite is flat with a large angle at the S2 strut. The improves
turning by allowing the kite to twist at the S2 position,
while keeping the centre of the canopy with clean airflow
for consistent power in the turn.

This kite is superb! C Devereaux >>
Build quality on this kite is superb as with my previous Naish kites. The ‘one pump’ system works well as expected.
Nice clean and simple bar setup with the depower strap below
the bar well within reach which eliminates the problem of
the depower strap being out of reach if my harness rides up
in those stronger winds.
Self launching the kite is easy even in stronger winds as
you have the ability to push the bar right away from you should
it power up too much.
The bar pressure is light on the factory setting but the responsiveness
does not suffer at all. New riders will find this more than
sufficient. If you prefer a more direct response through the
bar as I did with my Cult’s, I have shortened the back
lines by bringing the lines closer to the bar on the backline
trim knots under the control bar floats. This made the kite
very responsive and super quick through the air. As I dipped
the kite in the power zone for the first time I nearly got
caught out by the acceleration. Much faster than my previous
Cult / Helix kites!
I’m 75kg and I was still out at in 30mph with the 9m,
very impressive wind range and found the Naish Bolt very confidence
inspiring as you have the ability to just let go of the bar
if it gets too much for you and the kite depowers more or
less straight away.
Tested a deep water relaunch and I have to say even in 4-6 feet swells the kite was easy to get off the water.
As far as jumping goes I would say it is very close to the
Helix in terms of the speed in which you get boosted into
the air. Hang-time is good allowing plenty of time to learn
those tricky old-school board-offs.
Overall this kite is going to be great for new riders as it
will help them progress fast due to its ease of use and ultimate
safety but will also be gret for the more seasoned rider when
trying more powered loops and unhooked riding. Wave riding
is just made easy whether on a twin-tip or directional board.
