Description

Tom Kirkman has set a new standard in the sport of mountainboarding and MBS is proud to be giving him the technology he needs to push the envelope even further with the release of his own pro model.

 

But it's not just the name or the stylie graphic (inspired by Tom's own sketches) that makes this board so special. MBS have taken all the tried and true componentry from the previous Pro 100 (including aluminum RS Pro hubs) and upped the ante with an even stiffer deck lay-up, NEW MATRIX PRO trucks (with CNC 6061-T6 aluminum top trucks), and NEW F4 PRO bindings (with aluminum L-brackets).

 

The new board is stiff, allowing you to tackle the biggest jumps and fastest tracks with precision. To help reduce weight and increase strength MBS have removed all unnecessary inserts.

 

MBS have stuck to the tried and tested wood core with a reverse cap composite wrap and PBT graphics. This comes together to create a bombproof deck with vibrant coloured graphics.

 

The next big change is Matrix Pro trucks. The Matrix channel truck has proved unbeatable so far, and this is the next level of development. MBS have been developing metal top trucks for a while and finally they are ready.

 

The result is an even more bombproof truck than before that is lighter than before and provides more controlled turning than before.

 

To keep up with the bombproof theme the board is fitted with F4 Pro bindings (white) with aluminium L brackets and Rockstar Pro hubs (black and T1 tyres (black).

 

The Tom Kirkman Pro 100 is not only more bombproof than ever, it's more precise and lighter too!

 

MBS Pro 100 Deck:
MBS have redesigned the core and lay-up to make this deck stiffer, stronger, and poppier than ever before.

 

Reverse Cap Composite construction (RCC) consists of a composite structure (epoxy with fibrerglass or other high end fibres such as carbon or kevlar) wrapped around a full-length vertically laminated wood core. The bottom surface of the deck is wrapped upward to meet the top surface during the molding process to protect the edge and provide the best sliding surface possible. MBS CAP decks included stainless steel inserts for mounting F-series bindings and / or grab handles.

 

MBS Matrix Pro Truck System:
Some riders wanted their Matrix Lite trucks to be even lighter. Others wanted them to be even stronger and even increased turning precision at the same time. The result is the new MBS Matrix Pro channel truck system, the strongest, lightest, and by far the most precise channel truck system ever produced. Building upon MBS' tried and true spring / egg technology,MBS have upgraded the standard Matrix top truck to a bulletproof CNC 6061-T6 aluminum design that looks almost as good as it rides, and added a little extra spring compression to allow you to go faster and bigger than you've ever gone before. If you're serious about this sport you'll ride these trucks.

 

MBS Orange (Hard) Eggshocks:
Intended to add stability. For a stiff ride while downhill and big air riding.

 

MBS Rockstar Pro Aluminium Hub Set:
Extruded from the strongest 6061-T6 aluminum then precision CNC machined, these hubs are a thing of beauty ready to take the beast of your abuse. MBS have now made them even better by increasing the stiffness of the nylon rim spacer so they can handle even higher pressure than before, a change we hope will secure this hub's position at the top of the podium for years to come. The only choice for high-pressure freestyle riders!

 

MBS T3 All-Terrain Tyres:
The design of the T3 tyre builds upon the tried and true performance of the T1 by using similar tread elements in new ways. The result is a great new tread with increased durability and multi-terrain functionality. Split Centre Bead modeled on traditional T1 bead. This design element combined with a flatter profile puts more rubber on the ground. This increases overall durability as well as traction on pavement. Centre Channel helps to channel water in wet conditions. “T” Knobs provide excellent grip in soft terrain such as loose dirt and wet grass, or on harder terrain with low tire pressure.

 

MBS F4 Pro Ratchet Bindings:

The addition of aluminium L-brackets offers more stance options and strap adjustment angles with the added security of indestructible aluminium. MBS have also redesigned the internal structure to improve the comfort of the strap perimeter whilst maintaining the core rigidity that gives the F4 bindings such amazing control. Riders will love the new ladder tunnels that trap excess ladder strap to prevent pant-leg hang-ups and the two-point ratchet connections that eliminate ratchet swivel for the most solid binding feel possible. The newly contoured compression-molded EVA underside provides the perfect blend of grip, comfort, and control. And if that isn't enough, the look of this binding alone is worth the upgrade. Using internal mounting T-nuts to keep the mounting hardware as clean and low profile as possible.
