The Scorpion is an extremely high performance kite. A technically advanced profile in combination with a medium-high aspect ratio give you the perfect machine to help you ride more extreme on land, snow and even on the water.

Suitable for kite landboarders, buggiers and snow kiters who are ready for some serious freestyle and freeriding action. The enormous amount of lift and depower is what makes this kite so unique.

A single size Scorpion has a wind range of about three standard bridled foils and with a lift and float that is almost unbeatable, the Scorpion will give you the extra performance to push your limits and riding with ease.

 

Although the Scorpion is primarily designed for use on land, it has proven to be great for use as a freeride or hangtime kite on water. With its medium high aspect ratio, water relaunching does require some skill but the added performance in this kite will get you amazed on the jumps and tricks that Twinskin kites can offer.

Flying characteristics:

• Huge Lift and Float - The high flying speed combined with the improved profile shape gives increased lifting performance. Get some serious air with ease!
• Stability - Like all Peter Lynn Twinskin kites. The kite virtually doesn't luff, which is great for gusty winds in your favourite snowkiting spot or when trying new tricks and jumps.
• Depower and Windrange - Extremely large windrange keeps you riding with confidence even in the most gusty conditions.
• High flying speed - Fast flying but with smooth power build-up for riding at high speeds. For jumping, the flying speed will help you to jump high without shooting too far downwind.
• Direct and easy control - Fast steering and looping. With the new VPC System you can easily set the kites response and steering to your liking.
• Durability - This kite is built from the very robust Chikara Ripstop Nylon, with solid reinforcement patches where needed. The webbing running through the kite spread the load equally making Peter Lynn Twinskin kites stronger and more durable.

Depower Control Bar

Peter Lynn Twinskin (Zero 7) Control Bar - The new bar specifically designed for kiteboarding, landboarding and snowkiting.

It is designed to be as simple as possible and for any style of riding, whether it's unhooked, hooked in, or a combination of the two, the Twinskin (Zero7) Pro Carbon bar you will find maximum comfort and safety.

The Twinskin (Zero 7) Control Bar features a quick release on the depower loop and a quick release on the safety leash. The primary safety system is designed to meet the standards of safety release loads ensuring an easy release at all times.

• Tapered Control Bar for direct feel
• Bungee Loops to secure your lines when storing your bar
• Floaters to keep your bar floating at all times if you need to water relaunch your kite
• Self Landing Handles allowing you to self launch and land your kite
• Colour-coded Dyneema Leader Lines making a durable and reliable connection with your kite and giving a more direct feel when steering
• Spinning Leash System enabling you to ride with a leash without even knowing it's there
• Leash with spinning leash guide point just below the power adjusting strap preventing the leash to dangle or hook around your body or other parts of the bar
• Pull-Pull Depower Strap enabling you to set the overall power of the kite by a simple pulling motion
• Easy adjustment pigtails enabling you to set the difference in top and rear lines, allowing you to ride with slack or tight rear lines

• Removeable depower loop lock which can be removed for unhooked riding. When used it will ensure your depower loop staying hooked in when the tension is off the top lines

Great kite with high end depower! Colin Phillips

What a great kite for landboarding and buggying! The Peter Lynn Scorpion is stable, easy to use, loads of lift and the auto zenith is unbelieveable!

This kite is really good in gusty conditions yet still turns very quick for its size compared to other depowerable foil kites.

 

The Peter Lynn Scorpion is a real jumping kite with almost straight vertical lift but also hangtime with very little carry downwind.

 

The Foolproof inflate/deflate zippers on the trailing edge enable for quick setup and pack-down.

 

3-part wingtip spars also allow for a smaller kitebag rucksack allowing for easy transportation which was a big improvement.

The wingtips spars can be left assembled in the kite as the new bag expands to accommodate it.

 

The Peter Lynn Scorpion is a confidence inspiring kite for anyone who wants to do all kite related sports. Its versatile for all power kite sports due to its great turning speed and are excellent for jumps, great for hangtime and groundwork on the landboard and an all-rounder in the buggy!
