Never before in the history of kite-flying has a single breakthrough revolutionised the way we fly kites in such a rapid and dramatic way. The C Quad utilises a single skin with flexible rods, which act as spines for rigid attachment points, making these kites powerful enough to match the performance of the best ram air foils in the world. Developed to be re-launchable from water for kitesailing and kitesurfing, the minimal structure and single skin have proven to be advantageous and the C Quad has become competitive in all aspects of kite traction. The C-quad skin is cut in curved sections that create the typical aerodynamic airfoil shape. This shape is important for the very high lift and pull per square metre of the c-quad. Its great performance as a buggy engine is caused by the excellent power control. The ratio of minimum and maximum power is at least twice that of conventional kites. One particular size of kite can now be used in a larger wind range without the risk of overpowering.
