The Samurai II is a high performance power kite which offers high performance with sharp handling while maintaining all round usability.

 

The Samurai II has been designed to perform in all conditions for all power kiting sports including kite landboarding, buggying, snow kiting and recreational flying.

Ozone's design team set out to improve all areas of the kite to make this 2nd generation even more performance orientated yet still keeping its easy handling nature. The samurai 2 is the ultimate buggy kite thanks to it's high performance and inherent stability. The Samurai 2 stays in the air even when a buggy rider makes simple mistakes when gibing or running straight downwind making this the ideal kite to have in your quiver.

 

The Samurai 2 has a far smoother sensation when flying yet has kept its dynamic nature with crisp clean handling.

Stability has been improved by closing two cells in the center of the profile. This helps the Samurai 2 keeps its shape when entering turbulence.

The wind range of each size is also greater than before. The Samurai 2 fly's faster which has increased its upwind ability. The closed cells in the centre of the kite makes the airflow cleaner over this important part of the aerofoil section and with the higher aspect ratio the design is more aerodynamically efficient.

The stall has been improved by changing the planform and line plan. This makes for a clean and easy stall making landing the kite much simpler.

To increase turning speed and to evenly spread loads across the chord of the Samurai 2 Ozone have added internal D –Ribs to the centre cells.

Ozone “Butthole” in the tips also make removing sand easy.

The Samurai 2 is the ultimate performance-intermediate kite for kiters wanting the highest performance available yet not wanting to compromise on stability. The samurai 2 is the perfect balance between power and control, a kite that is fun and forgiving yet with high end performance.

• Lines: Pre-stretched dyneema lines with sleeved and stitched ends. Colour coded for easy identification; 2 x 180kg / 2 x 110kg.
• Material: Silicone treated Gilvenor on the top-surface and Porcher Marine New water repellant Skytex 44gm2
• Reinforcement: All open seams and trailing edge have mylar reinforcing tape.
• All attachment points have extra layer of material to spread loads.
• All cell openings vertically reinforced with edging tape.
• All rib cross vents are stitched to prevent any blow-outs.

Ozone Samurai 2 come complete with lines and handles or control bar option.

Control Systems

4-Line Handles - Ergonomic, styled and comfy, Ozone kite handles are built from hi-tech, lightweight polypropylene tubing. 25mm in diameter and covered in a layer of neoprene for extra comfort these handles have been specifically designed to prevent forearm fatigue.

Extra features include soft plastic sheathing on the lead line exit to prevent line or finger chaffing during heavy use.

 

Additional ground 'staking loops' allow the pilot to keep the kite stalled when not being flown.

 

Safety system easily larks-foot onto the ground staking loops or brake line leaders on your handles. High quality soft webbing straps with short bungee cord attachment to prevent them getting tangled or damaged.

 

Handles are now complete with a spectra stitched strop line as standard.

 

4-line Control Bar - excellent for use with the Ozone Samurai as well as any other four-line kite.

• EVA foam grip
• Line winders on each end of the bar easily hold 25m of line and keep the leader lines safely away from your hands while steering
• Main Harness loop with safety quick release
• Safety wrist leash (Kite Killer); when the bar is released it kills the kite's power by pulling the brake lines which stalls the kite safely to the ground
• Central webbing trim system with pulley to allow brakes to run freely during aggressive steering. The rear brakes simply attach to the line running through pulley
• One Hand (one tug) Reverse Launch System for simple self recovery and re-launching with ease. One pull easily flips the kite right side up
• Independent Brake control lines- offer direct control of trailing edge for easy self-launching and landing so you have no hassles, even when riding by yourself

Great all-round kite! Alistair Till

The Ozone Samurai has so much power! It pulls me along in almost no wind at all. It is great for buggying also and gives you so much control.

The kite handles the gusts well and performs really well even inland!
