Kitesurf
Wave Directional Kiteboards
Kite Surfboards are made to be used with a kite
to power the rider over water and into the air.
Kitesurfboards are typically focused on wave-riding.
Use your board with footstraps first and work
up to a real surf style without foot-straps.
Usually very lightweight, kitesurf boards are
designed to carve into the water on their edge to gain maximum
traction from the kite as opposed to a surf board that is normally
ridden flatter.
Initially larger boards are required to give the
buoyancy required to get on top of the water and enable easier
planing. Later experience will allow smaller boards to be used
and the speed of the board will create the buoyancy.
