Hyperlite System Wake / Kite Bindings :

The Hyperlite System Binding launches a revolution in water sports footwear. Designed specifically for use with the all-new Hyperlite System Boots, you can now get into and out of your wake or kiteboard with ease and without having to take your boots off!

 

The Hyperlite System marks the dawn of a whole new philosophy in wake footwear design. Since the first bungee binding, wakeboard boots have always faced an inherent design flaw - coupling a rigid plastic plate and a soft textile upper. This meant a sacrifice always had to be made in either support and durability, or comfort, fit, and range of motion.

 

The new Hyperlite System Binding separates the traditional design creating a comfortable and lightweight water specific boot, free from any hard internal plastic or heavy plates. The separate external binding then supplies all of the strength and support a rider could ever need, in a much stronger and more durable package.

 

This new design philosophy finally creates a pair of boots that fit and perform like athletic footwear and a separate supportive chassis that gives a locked-in feel and responsive ride.

 

Hyperlite's new design philosophy allows them to build unmatched strength, support, and response into the binding itself without sacrificing comfort.

 

The new System Binding features full GX3 construction making it lightweight and extremely strong. The articulating highback allows for greater support and moves with a rider’s leg to ensure a full range of rear motion.

 

The adjustable ankle and toe straps are built with maximum retention in mind without creating unwanted pressure points.

 

The System Binding also features an underfoot bridge that connects the side walls of the chassis, creating a torsionally strong construction that won’t twist or lift. This feature also allows a rider to stand directly on the deck of the board creating an unmatched rider to board connection.

 

Together the System binding transfers a rider’s energy directly to the board creating the most responsive ride in wakeboarding.

Binding set up:

Highback position:
Using a Philips head screwdriver, adjust screw and t-nut for corresponding boot size. The screw can be tightened or loosened if a rider is looking for more or less flexion in the highback.

 

Screw position:

Upper hole for size 7/8 and 9 boots for S/M Bindings
Lower Hole for size 10 boots

Upper hole for size 11 and 12/13 boots for L/XL Bindings

 

Toe strap position:

Outer most position for size 7/8 and 9 boots (S/M Bindings)

Inner position for size 10 boots

Outer most position for size 11 and 12/13 boots (L/XL Bindings)

 

Please note these are the factory fit recommendations. Individual riders preferences may vary. Due to the design of the chassis and toe strap there will be a small gap between the inside leading edge of the boot outsole and the lower area of the toe strap. This natural gap in no way affects the boot retention.

 

Mounting location:

 

Strata interface:
The System features a Strata specific mounting interface. This can be utilized by using the shorter Phillips head screws and Claw hardware marked “L” and” R”. This mounting location greatly reduces heel and toe lift by putting the anchor point directly under the rider’s foot.

 

*Remember the System binding is designed to work exclusively with the Hyperlite System Boot line. Both components are needed for use but are available as a separate items.

 

Why go to 6" Wakeboard Boot Plates?
6” patterns are now standard on many bindings and boards. 6” binding plates are lighter, stronger and have less torsional flex. The System binding can be mounted to a traditional 6” wakeboard insert pattern by using the longer Phillips head screws and larger Claw hardware. This method uses the outermost Claw tracks set at a 6” offset.

 

* Riders can choose to use both inside and outside mounting locations on Strata track boards. Four additional Strata track t-nuts will be required.

 

You have 6” binding plates and a wake or board with an 8” hole pattern. Are they compatible?
Yes, Liquid Force, CWB and Ronix have binding plate extenders that allow you the full range of stance options.

 

How do I measure my inserts?
Wakeboard Insert Spread refers to the hole pattern on your wakeboard or kiteboard. It is the distance from any hole in the outer group of holes to the corresponding hole in the inner group for each boot mounting area (either Left or Right). Both Hyperlite Strata and Slingshot Fastrack Mounting Systems have infinite stance options.

 

Hyperlite Marek System Boots Sizing:
The Hyperlite System Boots 2011 are built like true footwear so their fit is different from traditional voluminous wake boots. The initial impression of the System boot fit should be more like that of an athletic shoe, snug and supportive. By reducing the internal volume and slop we greatly reduce foot movement inside the boot. This translates into superior board control and response. Because a System boot does not have the internal plastic components preventing it to tighten, a rider does not need to cinch the laces down as tight as a traditional boot. The System Binding also provides the retention so if a rider prefers a little more flexion in the upper zone they can achieve this by loosening the laces in that zone.

The Hyperlite fit is on the smaller side, roughly a ½ size. We encourage customers to try out the next size up that corresponds to their actual foot size and not that of traditional wake boots they have used in the past.
