The Flysurfer Viron is a totally new concept. This is the first auto relaunching closed cell foil kite. It is designed with beginners taking their first steps into the sport in mind. This kite is extremely simple to fly, relaunch and is designed to recover from inversion by itself, making the learning process as simple and easy as possible. This is ideal for learning the basics with minimal assistance on land, water and snow.

 

The Viron has a delta inspired shape with swept back wingtips. This aids the relaunch ability. The one air intake in the centre of the kite prevents it from taking on water or snow when being crashed. The coloured tips make teaching simple as they correspond to the bar leader lines. The line attachments are all very clearly marked too. The Reefline Safety (RDS) works like a drawstring across the top of the kite rendering it powerless.

The kite comes complete with a simple bar and the new Flysurfer chicken loop system which is designed to work seemlessly under extreme conditions including ice, sand and dirt. The simple bridle system has no mixer meaning it is very lightweight and simple.

 

Easy Relaunch:

When it comes to relaunch, Flysurfer set a new kiteboarding benchmark with the Viron. The Flysurfer Viron is the first kite to incorporate Auto-Relaunch. Even in low winds, when letting go of the bar, the kite skims automatically across the water and remains parked and ready at the edge of the window. With just a simple steering impulse, the Viron flies on. Furthermore Flysurfer have built a special bridle into the kite that makes it practically impossible to get tangled on the water.

 

Easy and Simple Handling:

The Viron delivers exactly the flight feeling you need for a safe entry into the sport. With all the functions and handling of a full-grown kitesurfing kite but with moderate power, the Viron is at home wherever maximum safety and reliability are required. With gentle bar pressure and progressive bar feedback. Bothersome, long steering paths are unknown to the Viron, you have access to the entire depower throw within an arms length. Safety Maximised:
Together with the Viron, Flysurfer introduce a new safety: The patented “Reefline-Safety”. When the kiter activates the quick release, the leading edge of the Viron immediately shrinks together, simultaneously the tips will lay against each other. The kite then blows out with a minimum of rest-pull and can be relaunched anytime, even by beginners. But this is just one of the features that make the Viron an extraordinary safe kite. The enormous flight stability and a highly effective and directly-functioning depower give the pilot a safety cushion never before experienced. Triple Depower Technology:

Thanks to the Triple Depower Technology, contact to the kite is always available even when fully depowered. Triple Depower changes:

• The angle of attack changes (C kite to Flat kite)
• The projected size of the kite changes (more/less pop and float for jumping)
• The aerofoil camber changes (faster/slower kite)

Numerous optimizations to the profile have resulted in a more effective and direct depower effect. The already large wind range has expanded again. The legendary hang-time has just gotten even sweeter with more jump height, and thanks to the increased agility, kiteloops are now a reality. Naturally to cope with the increased speed and agility, stability had to be improved.

 

Depower is always within arms reach and is very direct, easy and precise like no other kite in this class. Jumps have never been easier and lightwind kiting has never been that much fun with butter smooth landings and amazing hangtime.

 

Stability, especially in strong or gusty winds, has grown to a level previously unknown in this kite class. The Triple Depower System gives the Flysurfer Psycho4 its unbelievable wind range. Despite a high aspect ratio, the Psycho4 flies like it’s nailed to the sky and won’t get unpredictable, even with more power. This provides additional safety, and helps with jumps. The tapered leading edge with four lines provides for excellent flagging-out of the Flysurfer Viron on the FLS Safety with an even better relaunch.

Water Relaunching:

Because of the extreme stability, a Flysurfer kite is unlikely to ever hit the water in the first place.

However if it does, the waterproof taped and reinforced seams and the incorporated silicon valve design behind the air intakes along the kite's leading edge trap the air inside the kite, and make it very hard for water to get in.

The large volume of air keeps the whole kite floating on top of the water, so there is nothing stopping the kite from taking off. With very little practice, water re-launching a Flysurfer is very simple, quick, and easy to do.

The Wind Range Chart is to be used as a point of reference. It is based on a rider who weighs around 75kg (165lbs.) Actual use will vary depending on your weight, skill level, conditions on the Water or Land, Board Size and skill level. When choosing the Kite size always use common sense and always choose a smaller size if you are not sure, especially when using the kite on land.

Depower Control Bar

Flysurfer Viron Control Bar:

Flysurfer Viron Control Bar: The Flysurfer Viron Bar has a complete spinning system on it which includes the 5th line is included also.

 

The 5th line gives a great safety and total kill system to the kite. If you become over powered and pull the safety or you miss the bar trying for a handle pass, the kite falls instantly from the sky. The bar also features an anti-jam Ironheart chicken loop which has been tested with sand and dirt from around the globe and still releases every time.

 

The chicken loop is very easy to reset, even in high winds by back stalling the kite or by dropping the kite onto the 5th line.
