Water Relaunching:

Because of the extreme stability, a Flysurfer kite is unlikely to ever hit the water in the first place.

However if it does, the waterproof taped and reinforced seams and the incorporated silicon valve design behind the air intakes along the kite's leading edge trap the air inside the kite, and make it very hard for water to get in.

The large volume of air keeps the whole kite floating on top of the water, so there is nothing stopping the kite from taking off. With very little practice, water re-launching a Flysurfer is very simple, quick, and easy to do.

The Wind Range Chart is to be used as a point of reference. It is based on a rider who weighs around 75kg (165lbs.) Actual use will vary depending on your weight, skill level, conditions on the Water or Land, Board Size and skill level. When choosing the Kite size always use common sense and always choose a smaller size if you are not sure, especially when using the kite on land.

Depower Control Bar

Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Control Bar:

Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Control Bar: The Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Bar has a complete spinning system on it which includes the 5th line is included also.

 

Big rotations or kite looping the kite no longer gives tangles to the lines, just pull the bar in towards you and untwist all the lines, a simple and completely effective system.

 

The 5th line gives a great safety and total kill system to the kite. If you become over powered and pull the safety or you miss the bar trying for a handle pass, the kite falls instantly from the sky. The bar also features an anti-jam Ironheart chicken loop which has been tested with sand and dirt from around the globe and still releases every time.

 

The chicken loop is very easy to reset, even in high winds by back stalling the kite or by dropping the kite onto the 5th line.

 

Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Quick Release Loop:

A bar is only as good as its quick release. Together with the Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Control Bar, Flysurfer introduce their new Infinity 2.0 Quick Release. At first glance you can only imagine how brilliant this component really is. First of all, it fulfills the French safety norms to perfection, which only very few kiting quick releases do. The force needed to release the QR is minimal in relation to the load. Even with 400 kilograms of load, the release force remains under ten dekanewtons (similar to kilograms). The Quick Release design is optimized to be resistant against snow, sand, dirt and small rocks, as much as possible. But that is still not all. Flysurfer focused on the smallest of details. There is no metal parts at the end of the loop that can become tangled behind the harness hook. The system is intuitive and can be reset easily and quickly. In addition, Flysurfer made sure that you can release dependably, even when wearing thick gloves. Disruptive or dangerous accidental releases are practically eliminated. A heavy component? Hardly. The Infinity 2.0 Quick Release loop weighs only 157 grams and offers the most compact construction of all chicken loops with a comparable range of functions.

 

Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Chickenstick:

 

On the Infinity 2.0 Control Bar, Flysurfer have replaced the Chickendick with another of their innovations: the Chickenstick.

 

While most Chickendicks get stiff in low temperatures and barely work, the Chickenstick is stiff from the start and can be attached to the harness hook quickly and easily with the help of an elastic connection.

 

Broken Chickendicks or accidental releasing is basically eliminated with this Chickendick.

 

Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Double V-Shaped Eyelet:

 

Only a few bars can completely untwist, A special construction allows the Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 QR to swivel even more smoothly than ever, without being susceptible to rusting or blocking when exposed to sand, dirt, ice or salt.

 

The new Double V shaped Eyelet leads the depower lines vertically through the bar. This improves comfort and handling when holding the bar for one-handed flying and unhooked tricks. Flysurfer thought of more, too. The depowerloop ‘locks’ when unhooking and doesn’t dangle around. For real wake-style purists, you also have the option to make the depowerloop bigger. And so that no wish remains unfulfilled, each Infinity 2.0 Control Bar has the option to use a “Releasable Suicide HP-Mode”.

 

Flysurfer Infinity 2.0 Adjustable Stopperball:

 

This is Flysurfer's first bar with a quickly adjustable stopperball, which we recommend, above all, for advanced riders and constant winds. This is a luxury that Flysurfer no longer want to go without. If you are surprised by a gust, you can still push the stopper up, together with the bar. You can also adjust the bar width on the winders at any time. Finally Flysurfer have also slightly revised the trimmer making it more precise and more user-friendly. The control bar remains clean and clearly laid out, despite a multitude of functions.

My 15 year old son and I spent quite a few sessions on the beach this summer waiting for the wind to blow enough for us to launch a couple of very well used second hand Best kites 7m and 9m, we were in for quite a wait.

 

On one very sunny still day the sea was as you say "like a pond " with the only movement on the water some paddle boarders, as we started to pack up are kites we were treated to the site of a lone kitesurfer gliding through the "pond" completely and without any effort, the guy had the whole ocean to himself ,the sight of two people chasing along the beach trying to, 1 keep up with the guy and, 2 find out what he was using must have seen quite funny to the paddleboarders anyhow we were in on the secret "FLYSURFER SPEED 3" So after some serious serching on the net couple of words kept coming up, Flysurfer and Powerkiteshop.

 

Powerkiteshop's live help chat app was good and got through quickly and the answers were in real time so 10/10 for this. Next what to do, do I bite the bullet and go for the Speed 3? After a fairly sleepless night thinking about kites and the outlay, I decided I needed to speak to someone at Powerkiteshop , a phone call was made and started chatting to one of the team about my predicament, cost , makes other options, a very useful conversation, felt like the guys were not trying to "mug me off" and left the ball in my court as to what kite I should purchase. A Flysurfer Speed 3 was ordered using the shops online 12 month payment option. Kite arrived earlier then expected and was well packaged reputable courier.

 

The kite is an amazing build, lot of panels go into the making of this, someone or more likely a team has thought about the build and materials of this kite for sometime.

 

Kite comes in a good strong and durable bag that can be worn rucksack fashion, some spare parts, bar, lines which are colour coded (nice example of the thought that has gone into this) loop instruction booklet everthing you need to to get going.

 

Laying out the kite for launch is easy, the opening of the vents to allow the inflation are childs play colour coded lines all add up to very user friendly.

 

The launch took us a couple of sessions to perfect to our own routine but at no point felt awkward. In the air WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHHHHH or somethink like this, these kites have serious lift from 10 knots up they are powerhouses, but with the feel that you are in control at all times with, the well thought out bar and lines system flysurfer has.

 

Relaunch after a dip in the water not a problem as it doesen't seem to end up in the water in the first place again getting it down to your own routine, on the couple of occasions have had to do this is ok with no issues.

 

Landing very easy lines dont tangle easy to pack away . On land just starting to explore this side of the kite but so far seems positive. All in all the best money I have spent wish I had gone straight for one of these and avoided the death traps you can find on a certain world wide auction site.

 

Pros - good all round kite ticks all the boxes, exceptional kite design and build user friendly turning freestyle/ride jumping comes complete no pump to mess about with quick launch weight.

 

Most of all FFFFFUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNN! You are kitesurfing when everyone else has packed up. Can't think of any cons really , the cost may be prohibited to some but with the payment options makes it easy!
