Build
and Construction:
Flexifoil are a company who strive to meet the
demands of all levels of kitesurfer. The same kite technologies
created through working with the world’s best riders, such
as PKRA World Champion kitesurfer Aaron Hadlow, have improved
their kites at every level of their product range. |

When in 4-line mode the effect is even more pronounced. The two four meter extensions are attached to the front lines which means the tow point of the kite is less effected when the kite is loaded up, thereby keeping the grunt in the kite which is required for Aaron’s signature powered wakestyle moves. |

Inflatable
Wingtip Struts
To help the kite relaunch the new design incorporates inflatable wingtip batons across the whole range. The smaller sizes 5.5, 7, 9, retain optional rigid baton, to provide direct turning response. |

Battens: Makes the end section of the wingtip stiff, providing the rider with direct feedback to the bar and a kite that steers extremely responsively. On turning the kite, the baton spreads the load into the wingtip and reduces the chance of any local deformation. |
![]() |
| Trailing
Edge Battens: Battens are sewn into the trailing edge near the wingtips. Reinforced with Dacron, they create a stiffer trailing edge and a clean release for turbulent air passing over the wingtips, this reduces drag and provides an increased turn speed. The battens have been reduced in size and are now uniform in length across the whole size range. |

| Molten
Bladder Technology: The new welding process has been tested up to a sweltering 100 degrees centigrade to make sure it will stand up to extreme conditions felt in all the world’s hottest kitesurf locations. |
![]() |
| Improved
Single-Point 'E-Z' Inflation: All the struts and the leading edge are interconnected so you can inflate the kite through one single inflation valve, making your kite quick and easy to set up and ride. Attached to the leading edge are ‘inflate’ and ‘deflate’ valves making the kite easy to set up and pack down. |
![]() |
| Improved
Air Clamps: Rounded clips seal off the air between the leading edge and struts to ensure the entire kite won’t deflate in case of a puncture. It is also possible to deflate the leading edge while keeping your struts inflated for easy kite transportation. The connecting tubes in the ‘E-Z’ system have been covered with a neoprene sock which helps to protect them. The strut valves are manufactured with a softer material which achieves a better bond with the bladders. |
![]() |
| Improved
Reinforced Strut Ends: Rugged strut ends made with an anti-abrasive material help protect the struts when handling the kite. These enlarged strut tips also make for an easier bladder replacement process. |
![]() |
| Optional
5th Line Attachment: For riders who prefer to ride using a 5th line system for added safety and self-landing, there is an optional 5th line available. The 5th line is to be used in conjunction with the bridle, not separately. The kite is supplied with the 5th-line top attachment. |
![]() |
| Wingtip
Dump Valve: Flexifoil were the first company to introduce this feature which makes it quick to deflate and roll up the kite after a session. Open the tip valve, main valves and air clamps and then roll up the kite from one end to the other. The air is expelled in one motion and leaves the kite ready to pack away. |

The Flexifoil HadlowPro was designed and built for the world’s best freestyle rider, Aaron Hadlow. The development of this kite has been relentless to meet the demands of his new-school style of technical, competition-level riding. While most other brands have closed their C-shape product lines, Flexifoil have continued to innovate in this important, performance-led field. The result of Flexifoil's technical brilliance and Aaron’s extreme ability and determination has been absolute domination of the PKRA World Championship for the last five years.
Created following an intense two year development period, the HADLOW PRO 2011 builds on the foundation of precision performance and astounding power to create a kite that continues to redefine the boundaries of freestyle kitesurfing. Designed with Aaron’s unprecedented attention to detail and exacting attitude, the 2011 HADLOW aims to offer the complete package for today’s advanced kitesurfer.
Traditionally aimed purely at the highly competent and advanced
freestyle kitesurfer, the HADLOW PRO 2011 continues to be
the very purest performance machine on the market; however
with a new depowered setting, Aaron has targeted a greater
span of ability with his 2011 signature model. With a new
focus on the progressive rider, you might be thinking that
this year’s model has been scaled down. Far from it,
Aaron has maintained his focus throughout the HADLOW’s
development to produce the peak of performance in freestyle
kitesurfing.
Innovative Depowered
Setting:
The 2011 HADLOW PRO features two depower settings: a standard
option provides the same freestyle performance that Aaron
uses every day, with a depowered setting offering over 50%
more depower.
Normal Mode:
Depower Mode:

This innovative system gives the rider a host of advantages
that only the HADLOW can offer, including a wider wind range
per size, and a more forgiving and accessible attitude, perfect
for lesser advanced riders looking to push themselves. The
unique depowered setting also offers a better wave riding
option if desired, allowing the kiter to move with the kite
freely, instead of fighting to control it.
Leading Edge Redesign:
Relaunch on the HADLOW has been improved thanks to a 2.5%
increase in the leading edge diameter to prevent any folding
or bending on the water. The wider design also adds greater
stability, giving a much more solid feel and flight through
the air. The rib to leading edge junctions also feature a
new design, having changed to a true round profile for better
relaunch and a stiffer airframe under extreme loading. These
junctions also now use a webbing for a higher load bearing.
You can be sure that the HADLOW this year will take some serious
punishment. Leading Edge reinforcements applied to all Flexifoil
kites this year, have been continued into the 2011 HADLOW
with a new lap seam construction offering 40% more seam strength
than previous years to create a more robust and durable leading
edge.
Canopy Improvements:
On the 2011 HADLOW you’ll find a 5 cell centre section,
providing a smoother aerofoil and a far smoother power delivery.
The trailing edge is also showing improvement this year, with
a triple ply construction for better durability.
Construction and Material
Improvements:
The HADLOW carries all of Flexifoil’s standard 2011
kite improvements in construction. Kevlar protection patches
on the leading edge provide further enhancements to strength
and robustness. Dump valves have been added to both ends of
the kite to account for varied rolling preferences. Lap seams
have been used across the sails for a cleaner, more accurate
aerofoil.
Six Strut System:
The Hadlow Pro brought six struts to the forefront of the
kite industry and the HADLOW continues with this winning format.
By creating a smoother, more rounded canopy, the kite achieves
greater drive through kite loops and gives improved feedback
from the bar, to let you know at all times where it is in
the sky and what it's doing.
Unique Features of
the FLEXIFOIL HADLOW PRO 2011:
The 2011 HADLOW is the only kite on the market that has been
developed by 5-time PKRA World Champion Aaron Hadlow. Aaron’s
unprecedented and unrivalled success has fed directly into
the development of the HADLOW series since its formation,
however this year has seen Aaron’s involvement increase
even more whilst he’s been away from the competition
circuit. His attention to detail and precision in design screams
through every aspect of the kite giving the 2011 HADLOW an
unsurmountable edge in the market.
This year’s model also presents, for the first time, a kite with two distinct performance settings: standard and depowered. Switching between the modes takes minutes, keeping you on the water for longer and providing you with a kite that’s versatility, more than matches its superior performance in the air.
The HADLOW also benefits from Flexifoil’s unbeatable production standards and dedication to quality. Flexifoil never make sacrifices and only use the highest grade materials and techniques to ensure that the product you buy is a product that lasts, and Aaron Hadlow wouldn’t have it any other way!
Feeling and Performance:
The 2011 HADLOW is fully focused on the provision of speed and power. This year’s model builds on the feeling of the 2009 Hadlow Pro to drive this speed and power through a much more solid platform, producing a kite slightly more suited to wakestyle riding, but maintaining the 100% C-kite feel that Hadlow’s kites are renowned for.
Overall, it is a high performance machine, driving quick through the sky, fast through the turns and allowing for maximum acceleration perfect for Aaron’s signature freestyle moves.
Intended for highly competent kitesurfers, competition riders and professionals, the HADLOW standard option gives superb performance for riders wanting to further develop their kiteloops, handlepasses and unhooked tricks, whilst the depowered option gives a C-kite feel with forgiving depower intended for progressive riders, including wave riders, looking to develop their hooked and unhooked tricks.
Aaron's style is constantly changing and evolving and as such this kite is a way into his current style of mega-loops and powered, tweaked, wake-style moves. These cutting-edge moves are made possible due to a super-fast turn-rate and a canopy that delivers power all the way through the turn – you come in hot, but you won’t get dropped! Technically sublime and freakishly optimised, the HadlowPro is the current pinnacle of kites for riders who have the determination to not only want to ride like Aaron, but want to be better than him.
The Flexifoil HadlowPro 2011 is available in the same sizes that Aaron has in his quiver (7m, 9m, 11m and 13m) which provides a kite for almost every weather and water condition.
The Flexifoil HadlowPro is available in one colourway which was developed in conjunction with Aaron.
The new AH Pro is the kite of choice for the advanced freestyle rider who is looking to push their level of riding and are looking for a kite that will not hold them back, they’re designed for the fearless and the brave - have you got what it takes?!
Performance Features:
Thin Leading Edge Tube
Increases the speed through the window and therefore the manoeuvrability
of the kite.
Altered Strut Pattern
The struts have all moved towards the tip of the kite. This
gives the kite a more driving turn by keeping the first two
sail panels near the wingtip stiff, ensuring that the load
from steering the bar is transferred into twisting the kite,
rather than causing any localised deformation.
New Aerofoil Shape
The new centre section of the kite ensures the kite drives
all the way through the turn and produces a constant pull
which is required for predictable megaloops and standard kiteloops.
Supported Leading
Edge Tube
Whether in HadlowPro 4-line mode or the standard 5-line mode,
the ultra-thin kite LE is supported in the centre section
by two lines. This helps to maintain the correct LE shape
and increase kite power production. When in 4-line mode the
effect is even more pronounced.
When in 4-line mode the effect is even more
pronounced. The two four meter extensions are attached to
the front lines which means the tow point of the kite is less
effected when the kite is loaded up, thereby keeping the grunt
in the kite which is required for Aaron’s signature
powered wakestyle moves.
Large Wingtips
These increase the turn-rate of the HadlowPro. This works
in combination with the new aerofoil providing a huge turning
area.
Inflatable
Wingtip Struts
Getting the kite off the water fast is important to Aaron.
In a seven minute PKRA heat Aaron regularly pulls an incredible
20+ tricks! If he drops his kite it’s vital that he
can get it off the water fast. The Hadlow pros have oversized
wingtips to aid the kite’s fast turning ability and
a narrow front tube for fast kite speed. These can mean that
the kite can be tricky to launch especially in rough conditions.
To help the kite relaunch the new design incorporates inflatable wingtip batons across the whole range. The smaller sizes 7, 9, retain optional rigid baton, to provide direct turning response.
Construction
Features:
Wingtip Batons
Makes the end section of the wingtip stiff, providing the rider with direct feedback to the bar and a kite that steers extremely responsively. On turning the kite, the baton spreads the load into the wingtip and reduces the chance of any local deformation.
Dacron Reinforcement
Dacron® front and rear attachment points ensures the load
is spread evenly through the kite. Dacron® removed from
the middle of the wingtip keeps the weight of the kite to
a minimum and a slimmed down Dacron® cage keeps the kite
light whilst still retaining strength.
Upgraded flying line
The new AH PRO kites’ explosive performance creates
a high
peak load on the flying lines. To withstand this power, the
flying
lines have been upgraded to 270kg (from 250kg). The line
lengths are exactly the same as Aaron uses. 22m - (18m + 4m)
Larger sizes pack
down smaller
Aaron travels more than most people! Reducing the pack down
size of the kites he travels with is good news! The 11m and
13m’s inflatable wingtip batons means that the kite
pack down to the same size as a 9m.
Less weight, more
protection
When Aaron is training he crashes his kite hard many times.
Therefore his kites need to be incredibly durable yet super
light to aid flying characteristics. We’ve fitted Ballistic
Nylon so that the stitching is protected against the rough
beach environment. Flexifoil have also reduced the bumpers
size to reduce the weight as much as possible.
Standard Flexifoil Features:
EZ Single-Point Inflation
As with all Flexifoil kitesurfing products,
the EZ single-point inflation system increases the speed of
kite setup getting you out on the water in less time.
Wingtip Pump Valve
This gives you a quick and simple pack down by dumping all
air out of the bladders as the kite is rolled up.
Anti Flutter
Toughened and flexible battens are sewn into the trailing
edge near the wingtips. Reinforced with Dacron, they create
a stiffer trailing edge and a clean release for turbulent
air passing over the wingtip to reduce drag and provide an
increased turn speed.
Rigid Strut
The connection between the struts and the leading edge tube
has been completely remodelled allowing for millimetre perfect
construction, improved strength and increased rigidity in
the kite frame.
Reinforced Leading
Edge Tube
Reinforced stitching increases the stiffness and strength
of the tube. This not only helps soak up a few slams, but
also maintains the shape of the aerofoil for a more power-driven
experience.
Dacron Reinforcements
Dacron® front and rear attachment points ensures the load
is
spread evenly through the kite. Dacron® cage keeps the
kite light
whilst still retaining strength.
