For 2012, the F-One Signature series has two sizes, 5'10, 6'0, with a more roundish outline and a pin tail. The bottom has a pronounced double concave for better handling at high speed.

 

Surprisingly easy, the F-One Signature naturally enters the curves and goes where you want: it can do it all, from tight turns to long curves.

 

A kitesurfer does not need a lot of volume to take off - as opposed to a paddle surfer - the volume distribution is optimized through a unique new shape: an inverted concave deck. It allows to both lower the centre of gravity and to increase the control by reducing the thickness of the board under the front leg, without affecting the profiles of the rails. The result is a significant gain of control in your turns. The inverted concave deck allows the use of pads twice as thick under your front legs to further enhance comfort.

 

This new double concave V-shaped bottom and ultra progressive rocker allows for improved edging, acceleration, turning radius and radical angles; all this with more control and ease of use. Comfort is also enhanced by the choice of a double concave with V providing a smooth ride through the chop and faster transition from rail to rail.

 

Equipped with a quad fin setup, the gain in manoeuverability allows committed surfing whatever the conditions. Small or large, the waves do not define your commitment; but the way you enter in your turns are now open to you. With the quad design, you will adapt the turning radius to your style, whether tight, fast, drawn out or slashed turns. Versatile these are the real kite surfboards.

 

New also for 2012 is an ergonomic adjustable strap with a wavelock system for easy mount (based on the twin tip straplock).

 

 

Construction:

A kiteboard sustains more constraints than a standard surfboard. It endures more pressure, mainly in the upwind stage, in the chops, and during jumps. A sandwiched construction is a must-have for our sport.

 

F-One's research them to bamboo. The result is a light structure, super strong that absorbs those constraints. The extremely dense cellular structure of bamboo surpasses that of oak in stability and elasticity.

 

Bamboo is superior to wood in terms of durability and rigidity. This mighty grass is extremely solid due to high elasticity fibers lined up to the cane on the outer layer of the peel. With regards to tensile strength, bamboo matches up with tree and steel.

 

The use of bamboo is also environmentally responsible. It has an astonishing growth rate: the “giant bamboo” will grow 30cm to 50cm per day to reach 15 to 30 metres. Every year the “mother plant” generates several shoots allowing a full grown “forest” to be harvested after 5 years without reducing the size of the forest.

 

Fin Setup:

F-One use the most advanced fins available, The Future Fins Vector II profile were specifically designed for explosive radical surfing making it great for speed and releasing off the top. The Thruster fin setup will also make the radius of the turns a bit longer and will hold in the turn better.

 

Waveriding:

Generally kitesurfers are used to having straps that attach you to the board. Well it is no longer that simple and obvious. Riding strapless is just unbelievable fun. Standing freely on the board that is moving very fast brings much more emotions to the whole aspect of riding. The challenge of just riding and cruising make it so different and challenging that everybody should try it. The carving feeling when everything relies on the riders position and balance is multiplied by 10. Pure fun.

 

Surfing:

A great allround thruster board intended for light to medium sized riders. Its shape is very compact and balanced. This is a great board for use with straps whenever there are waves. Its slightly wider shape design helps to catch some slower waves and still surfs great in the real fast and big waves. This board is perfect for intermediate / medium sized riders.

 

F-One Signature 6'0 (183 x 45.5cm)" Surf Board:

A board for medium sized riders or for lighter wind conditions. Its general size and especially it's width is not too big so it still can be used for ripping and snapping, but surely for kitesurfing, guys between 65kg to 80kg will appreciate it more. It can be also great board for all kitesurfing beginners, who are looking for their first surfing kiteboard with more stability.
