Competition Freestyle / Freeride:
The Cabrinha Caliber X takes the Caliber Freestyle
concept to a whole new level making use of high grade carbon
fibre to deliver a board which is lighter and places the stiffness
in precisely the right spot.
The all-wood core provides the durability
while the carbon X pattern delivers it's progressive flex
pattern.
Built-in rail grips means that you can remove
the handle for a more legitimate sense of style while keeping
a positive holed where it's needed.
The 3D bottom shape delivers unbelievable
edge control, while the lower rocker line provides quick acceleration
and speed.
Concaves placed at the tips with a flat centre
section provides a smooth ride and forgiving landings.
The 3D section of the
deck has been redesigned to increase tortional rigidity for
solid edging.
The tips are soft to give control in chop
and also feature a new corner radius to eliminate eye spray.
The Cabrinha Caliber X takes full advantage
of its 3D bottom shape to deliver a high level of edge control.
The Cabrinha Caliber also features a flat center section for
a smoother ride and easy landings.
The 3D X deck provides torsional rigidity
to keep the tips from washing out when edging hard. The Cabrinha
Caliber is built with a Hybrid Core, which delivers unparalleled
strength while staying ultra lightweight.
The 2011 Cabrinha Caliber X also expands on
the 3D bottom concept Cabrinha started two years ago. The
quad concave channels have been increased in definition throughout
the tips for a more aggressive bite.
Hybrid
Core (CXB):
The all-new CXB Hybrid core is a sophisticated hybrid core
of both Lite-Pawlonia and Life-Balsa. Custom designed per
size, the core layup is the lightest and most responsive in
the Twin Tip collection giving the board unrivalled weight
saving, yet without sacrificing strength in key areas.
Carbon Stringer (CST):
Full carbon stringers "tip to tail" ensure quick
rebound, extra pop and livelier feel for your ride.
Kevlar Impact Plates:
Military grade Kevlar reinforcement plates for impact resistance
and underfoot load distribution.
FCX Carbon:
High-grade carbon assembly for super quick response and a
tighter, lighter ride. 220gm Bi-Ax carbon top and bottom offers
a perfectly balanced ride with ultra efficient energy transfer
from rider to board, on top of maximum weight saving.
Quadcave:
The very latest in 3D bottom shaping with
the concave and step bleeding through the perimeters of the
board to increase tracking and create and allow true finless
performance. The centre flat sections reduce the boards tendency
to stick on-off axis landings and eliminate spray in the eyes
by allowing the nose to rider higher.
3D X Deck: The 3D X deck provides torsional
rigidity to keep the tips from washing out when edging
hard.
Top and Bottom Sheet:
A lightweight and tough material.
UV and scratch resistance properties make it perfect for Kiteboard
production.
ABS Rails:
The ABS sidewall is laminated
to the core during the lay-up process. It's designed to increase
the strength while ensuring a smooth, durable and consistent
ride.
Core Profile:
All of Cabrinha's core are produced with CNC milling. This
means that every core is true to their design. Flex, profile
and manufacturing consistency are all exact every time.
Flex Pattern (True
Twin Flex):
A symetric pattern provides and identical flex, forward or
switch, ideal for all types of riding conditions.
Mounting System (Stainless
Steel Inserts):
Based on the industry standard 6 inch (15.24cm) pattern. Cabrinha's
stainless steel inserts are custom made to eliminate pull
out and spinning. Cabrinha's inserts are all 1/4-20 thread
and sized to properly fit the core profiles. They are inserted
from the bottom of the core, glued and are in for good.
Arrangement / Layup (Laminate):
Each board has its own unique layup. Cabrinha have tested
many different laminates to produce the best combination of
strength and weight. The Cores are profiled to dial in the
specific flex for a design. Then the laminate is applied to
support the flex and increase strength.
