The all new Cabrinha Sync footstrap creates a positive yet flexible connection between board and rider. This connection allows for an immediate delivery of energy from the rider to the board while providing precise feedback from the board back to the rider.

 

The Sync bridges the gap between a traditional footstrap and a fully committed binding. The Sync features more side support than a footstrap for a more locked in feeling. The comfort element is immediately noticeable from the first entry into the strap. The Sync upper section conforms to your foot with the easy tensioning of the laces.

 

The Cabrinha Sync Binding is a fully integrated, featherweight binding and footpad. The binding delivers support over a greater part of the top and sides of your foot than a traditional footstrap. This creates the most comfortable and positive kiteboarding connection available today.

 

By utilizing new construction methods and materials from the shoe industry Cabrinha have made the new Sync lighter, stronger, and more user-friendly. The tongue is more stable due to the integration of the side-walls and the lacing pattern. The laces are more durable and easier to use and the new lace lock is purpose built and much more durable.

 

The uppers are integrated into Cabrinha's new footbeds which are now available in two sizes. The footbeds have been re-engineered to decrease weight and increase comfort.

The footbed plates feature a more forgiving mounting slot that will ease mounting and compatibility with a wide range of boards.

 

The Cabrinha Sync connection is so advanced that it transcends the traditional footstrap category and enters the binding realm. Stopping short of a full binding, the Cabrinha Sync delivers the type of support you’d expect from a binding with the ease of use of a footstrap.

Recent trip to Egypt I tried a load of boards and pads and tried these, ordered some and had first session yesterday.

 

The pads took quite a lot of adjustment to get right, mainly as I am so unused to being so well connected and with the laces it takes a bit of time, certainly you cant do on the water but.... once right they are amazing!

 

Normal heelside riding really comfortable and I love the strap covering so much of the foot, really well connected for jumping. Softness and the lip at back makes the beds really comfortable. Main advantage though was raleys (if you dont do technically brilliantly like me!), combination of locked in strap and really good toe grip means board stays locked to you.

 

Summary- possibly not best for beginner if you want to ditch board quickly or for someone who shares board with someone with different size feet but I think they are great, super comfortable from first wear and did exactly what I wanted, secured me to board while jumping around, very happy!
