Reviews
The aesthetics of the helmet persuaded me opt for the p pot style familiar with skate boarding giving an refreshing alternative to the grape smuggler, overly vented styles that crowd the market.
The added brim and is clean and functional giving a unique style whilst diverting precipitation away from the eyes. Additional angular vents compliment the inherited Bern design and I have only suffered minor sweating in contact patches with the summer padding, although this snap in replaceable liner enhanced the comfort whilst being superior to conventional Velcro attachments which are commonly displaced.
The slightly increased weight over more conventional cycling helmets seems negligible due to the lower sink fitting and added rear protection, I was unphased.
I found my helmet size was borderline at M/L at 57cm; I opted for the large noting other users opt for a size bigger for better fitment. The only minor shortcoming was just that the strap clip could be padded under the chin but this can be easily remedied.
The multi purpose functionality and adaptability of the helmet is of interest to me when I plan a winter sports holiday. I like and recommended this helmet, wearing the helmet for smaller trips to the shops etc whereas I may have gone without.
Finally - safe can be stylish!
