Description
With development that never stops, the Airush
Switch provides everything freeride kiteboarders are looking
for.
The original “eye” Concave offers
the key to the light wind performance of the Switch, while
significant
progress in flex characteristics has been achieved through
the unique tapered ABS rail. This increases stiffness in
the centre section of the board, with a harmonious and
accelerated increase in flex towards the tips.
The result is
improved carving, smoothness and a new level of refinement.
Tech Features
ABS Tapered Rails
Square Tapered ABS rail for durability and a fast clean water
release. ABS rails are based on Snowboard construction and
provides
an extremely durable rail ideal for aggressive freestyle riding
and all round abuse.
Rocker
3 stage rocker for combined with the "eye" single concave and
early planing.
Flex
Wood biotech core combined with stepped tip areas for perfect
intermediate flex and unbeatable ride comfort, low wind performance
and smooth ride.
Bottom shape
The Airush unique “Eye” concave ensure early
planning, stability at speed and a softer ride in chop.
Overall Planform
CAD scaled outlines give the Airush Switch range a consistent
feel in all sizes. The Airush Switch outline features a wide
centre point with relatively narrower tips. The width
ensures
ease of use and early planing while the narrower tips increase
control an edging when at speed.
Fins
The Airush Wake fin raked-back trailing edge allows the fin
to break out more easily when turning, while the longer chord
length
offers more lateral resistance for the best depth at lower
board speeds. The wake offers the most forgiving ride and
is easy to break out when turning.
Biotech Construction
The Airush Biotech construction is a spin off from snowboard
technology where a vertical wood core sandwich is combined
with
a stepped construction and an ABS rail. Wood cores have
long been renowned for their feel and smoothness, we combined
this
with a triaxial construction ensuring awesome flex, response
and durability. Topsheet top and bottom.
Too much board flex is not always a good thing. Riders
who are heavier, more advanced or ride more overpowered
would
generally prefer a slightly stiffer board. Riders who are
less advanced, lighter or prefer to ride with slightly
less
power, would normally prefer a slightly more flexible board.
Boards that are wider may require a more flexible construction
to achieve a similar feel to narrow board. All these factors
are taken into account when generating the perfect dynamic
flex.

Who is the board designed for:
Beginner and Intermediate riders who want a board with great
upwind performance and all-round versatility. The new concave
bottom increases the stability of the Switch making it perfect
for light wind riding in marginal conditions.
Not aimed at any specific riding style these boards will
allow you to progress quickly with the minimum of hassle
no matter
what your current level is. Great for riders starting out,
lightwind and heavier riders.
**Price include footstraps,
footbeds, fins and grab handle**
